Using Folders• To see what is in a folder, click on the

folder.• The easiest way to move a message

into a folder is to click and drag the message into the folder you like. This works in most, if not all, email clients.

• This means that your computer does not have the proper program to show the picture, such as Java, Flash Player or Acrobat Reader

–Forwarded messages can show every recipient of the forwarded message

• In Yahoo, click on the “Show BCC” text and the field will appear

• If you receive a message that has been forwarded and you are forwarding it yourself, remove all of the junk in the email you can, including other recipients, comments from other sender, and anything else you can.

• To remove information:– Click on “Forward”– Click and hold the left mouse button at the beginning of the stuff you want to delete.– Drag the mouse to the end of the stuff you want to delete– Release the mouse button. Everything you just dragged over should be highlighted– Press the “Delete” key

Final Thoughts• Beware: there are many scams on email.

– Only open items that you recognize the sender

– If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

– Don’t open attachments, or click on links in messages you are unsure of. Viruses can be installed on your computer that way.

– Be smart!
