The Sides to Pearl Harbor Japans side.Untied states sideJapan wanted to take over the world.Japan Knew by attacking Pearl Harbor that it will cripple our Navy and making the United States rebel against them.

The Untied States wanted peace with Japan.The United States did know that Japan was planning an attack but America didnt know it was on them.

The damage to Pearl Harbor The Japanese managed to destroy nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships the most famous was the USS Arizona.The attack lasted for two hours.Japan attack Pearl Harbor, and major air strips so that our military couldnt defend themselves.More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded in that attack.

The USS Arizona

Here is the USS Arizona sinking from a major bomb that the Japanese drop on the ship killing more then 1,500 people on board. The people that where on the bottom of the ship where trap with no way out, they died at the bottom of the ship. There is a memorial of this ship at Hawaii that is open to the public to visit. Next slide we will see pictures of the memorial.
