MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERGFounder Bloomberg L.P. and Philanthropies 108th Mayor of New York City Michael R. Bloomberg is an entrepreneur and philanthropist who served as mayor of New York City from 2002 through 2013. In 1981, he launched a technology startup to provide real-time data and analysis to the financial services industry. Bloomberg LP has since grown into a global company that has offices in 73 countries, employing 16,000 people and serving 320,000 subscribers.

The spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that led Bloomberg to found the company has led to its repeated expansion in new directions. In 1990, Mike launched a news division that has steadily grown and today covers the world and produces more than 5,000 daily stories.

As a philanthropist, Mike Bloomberg has given away more than $3.3 billion. His foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, employs a unique data-driven approach to its five main focus areas: public health, education, the environment, the arts, and government innovation. Bloomberg also leads a number of bi-partisan coalitions that are taking action on urgent national issues, including illegal guns, immigration reform, infrastructure investment, and climate change. In 2014, Bloomberg was appointed to be the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Cities and Climate Change

Bloomberg was elected mayor of New York City less than two months after the attacks of September 11, 2001. Under his leadership, the city rebounded faster and stronger than expected. His administration cut crime by 32 percent, raised high school graduation rates by 40 percent, reduced the city’s carbon footprint by 19 percent and increased life expectancy by three years. His economic policies, which supported entrepreneurs, small businesses, and emerging industries such as tech and bioscience, all helped led to create a record number of jobs.

Bloomberg graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School.

JIN MEI Chief Representative The People’s Bank of China Representative Office for EuropeJin Mei now serves as Chief Representative of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) Representative Office for Europe.

Ms. Jin Mei joined the PBOC in 2002. She had worked in Monetary Policy Department and Monetary Policy Department II as Director of Secretariat and Deputy Secretary General of Monetary Policy Committee, responsible for macroeconomic monitoring, analysis and forecast, monetary policy research and RMB internationalization. In 2002-2009, she was in charge of organizing the writing of China Monetary Policy Report and China’s Regional Fincance Report.

Before joining the PBOC, Ms. Jin worked at the Statistics Department of IMF in 2001 and in Bureau of National Statistics in 1988-2000.

Ms. Jin obtained her bachelor’s degree in economics in 1985 and master’s degree in economics in 1988 from Peking University. In 1996-1997, she studied at London School of Economics. In 2000-2001, she studied at Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and got her MPA degree in 2001.

ZHANG JIMINGMinister Counsellor Chinese Embassy in the UKMinister Counsellor Zhang Jiming started his diplomatic career in 1991. He held overseas diplomatic postings successively at the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, the United Kingdom and the Chinese Mission to the European Union. He assumed the position as Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in London , a leading member of the mission, in December 2013. He served as Division Director of the Department of European Affairs and Deputy Director General of the General Office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

He was a visiting scholar at Hoover Institution in 2007. He graduated from Fudan University and holds a M.A. degree in international relations.

MARK BOLEATPolicy Chairman City of London CorporationMark Boleat is Chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee of the City of London Corporation, a position he has held since May 2012. He has been a member of the City’s Court of Common Council since 2002, and has served on a number of committees including Police, Planning and Transportation, Investment, Finance, Markets and Culture, Heritage and Libraries.

As Chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee, Mark is Deputy Chairman of TheCityUK and the International Regulatory Strategy Group, a Vice Chairman of London Councils, and a member of the boards of Central London Forward, a grouping of eight inner London local authorities, and London and Partners, the promotional body for London.

Mark has previously been Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association and the Association of British Insurers and he has served on the boards of public companies, government agencies and third sector bodies. He has also run his own consultancy business, concentrating on trade associations and regulation, and is the author of several books on housing finance and public policy.

Mark has been a vocal proponent of the UK’s development into the leading RMB centre for renminbi business, working closely with the UK Government and industry as Chairperson for the City of London RMB Advisory Group. He travels regularly to China and is a member of Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council.

FLORENCE LEE Head of China Sales & Business Development EMEA HSBCFlorence is the Head of China Sales and Business Development - EMEA for HSBC Securities Services. Based in London, Florence assists clients in the EMEA region across different sectors seeking to access the China market through cross-border investment schemes i.e. the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII), Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII), Stock Connect and the China Interbank Bond Market (CIBM). Florence is also the member in the HSBC RMB Internationalisation Committee in UK and the Middle East, helping the group in driving the RMB initiatives.

In 2006, Florence joined HSBC in Hong Kong as Vice President, Business Development for HSBC Securities Services and worked with major fund managers investing in Greater China. She relocated to the United Kingdom in 2008 to manage European client relationships. She is experienced in managing the Sovereign Wealth Fund and State-Owned Enterprise clients from China.

STEVE HAYDON Co Head of London Trading Centre Bank of China LondonSteve is currently working for the Bank of China London Trading Centre and has been with the Bank of China group since 2006, He has held various roles through this time within the Financial Markets Dept with a focus on trading in FX, MM and Commodities. Prior to joining Bank of China Steve was a Director at C View Ltd from 2003-2006. He began his career at RBS working across the globe for the Bank and specialising in Emerging markets, and fulfilled a similar role as a Managing Director at Bank of America from 1997 to 2003.

CLIVE PONSONBY Executive Director, Head of Asian FX and Rates Trading J.P. Morgan Chase BankClive has worked as a currency trader for almost 20 years and has been at J.P. Morgan for since 2003, running the Asian FX and rates trading business in London for the majority of that time. A Cambridge Mathematics graduate he has traded almost every currency at some point in his career and overseen some significant changes to markets and evolution of the FX business. With the Yuan rapidly becoming one of the most important currencies in the world we see further growth in this part of the market in 2016 and beyond.

TIM CRAIGHEAD Director of Research Bloomberg Intelligence AsiaTim Craighead is Director of Asian Research for Bloomberg Intelligence (BI), a real-time, interactive industry research platform available on the Bloomberg Professional service at BI <GO>. By combining comprehensive data with analysis on key fundamental and thematic trends, BI provides insight at an industry level and perspective on key companies. The BI global team covers over 125 industries currently, including over 40 with Asia specific data and content under major sectors including Communications, Consumer, Energy, Finance, Health Care, Industrials, Materials and Technology.

Craighead brings with him 24 years of experience in investment research related businesses, working at firms such as Ketchem Creek Capital Management and Goldman Sachs. Over his 21 years at Goldman Sachs, Craighead managed the Investment Review Committee process for the U.S. research department, ran product management and wrote a Global Themes research product. Prior to joining the research team, Tim also worked in Goldman’s Equities Division as a U.S., European and Global research salesperson in the Philadelphia, New York and London offices.

FRANK DING Chairman and CIO CSOP & FountainCapAs co-founder and Chief Investment Officer, Frank oversees all investment activities at FountainCap. Frank is one of the most senior Chinese fund managers with 22 years of global investment experience with three leading asset management companies in US and Asia. Prior to founding FountainCap, Frank was most recently with Capital Research under Capital Group, for 12 years, with research and investment responsibilities primarily focusing on China software & internet, conglomerates and consumers,as well as Asia oil & gas, refineries and petrochemicals.He was also a China generalist at Capital Research. Prior to Capital Group, Frank was the Greater China Fund manager at Jardine Fleming Asset Management in Hong Kong (later acquired by J.P. Morgan Asset Management) from 1998 to 2002, and an analyst with Manning & Napier Advisors in New York from 1994 to 1997.

Frank has been investing in Asia equities since 1994. During his investment career he has been through five major market cycles and achieved superior long-term results. From 1985 to 1990, Frank was an economic researcher at the State Planning Commission. He received a B.S. in Management Science from University of Science & Technology of China, and an MBA from University of Rochester, USA

SIMON LEEOffshore China Specialist Sales Bloomberg L.P. Lee is a senior Relationship Manager covering offshore Chinese financial institutions on an enterprise level in Bloomberg and he is responsible for training clients, organizing seminars and enhancing the Bloomberg product while facilitating overseas growth of Chinese accounts.

Lee has a total of 14 years of experience in the financial industry, 5 years working in the US, 2 years in Dubai and 7 years in Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr. Lee was an Institutional Sales promoting mutual funds and ETFs for Mayfair Pacific Financial Group. Before that, he was a Private Banker at Credit Suisse and earlier in his career, he was an Analyst and subsequently Portfolio Manager for SAFE HK, covering the US market.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics from UCLA

ZHOU JINGTONG Director Institute of International Finance, Bank of China (Beijing)Dr. Zhou Jintong Received his Ph.D. from Peking University. He is Governor and Senior Researcher of Institute of International Finance, Bank of China. His research focuses on economy, finance, investment, real estate and policy analysis.

Dr. Zhou led and participated in several major research projects entrusted by OECD, Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs and National Development and Reform Commission. His publications include 9 books, more than 100 papers and articles published on The People's Daily, Macroeconomics, Studies of International Finance and other key journals and newspapers. His works were awarded with Outstanding Scientific Achievement by National Development and Reform Commission, China Foundation for development of Financial Education and China Banking Association.

Invited to give keynote speeches on economics and finance by China Unicom, PetroChina, CNOOC, CASIC, Ansteel and Peking Universtiy, Dr. Zhou works closely with Xinhua News Agency, The People's Daily and other key media.

BO ZHOU Greater China Business Manager Bloomberg L.P.Dr. Bo Zhou is the Business Manager of Great China (Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) at Bloomberg LP. She is responsible for the business strategies and product developments for Bloomberg’s core terminal business in the region. Before that, Dr. Zhou was global Fixed Income business manager. She has managed and developed products in FI curves, new issue analytics, trade ideas, pricing, alerts and other areas in that role.

Before Bloomberg, Dr. Zhou pursued several start-ups in various areas including environmental engineering, medical device and professional network as an angle investor and entrepreneur. Prior to that, Dr. Zhou worked years as FI traders at BNP Paribas, FI strategist at Deutsch Bank, and FI research and risk management at State Street Global Advisor.

Dr. Zhou received a Ph.D. degree of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, a Financial Technology option certificate from MIT Sloan business school and B.S. degree from Fudan University

DON TANG Fixed Income Market Specialist Bloomberg L.P.Don Tang is a FI market specialist at Bloomberg LLP. He has been mainly responsible for the new fixed income product development in the region. Before he joined Bloomberg, Don has more than 13 years banking experience and he was an Executive Director with Nomura Securities, Deutsche Bank, and Barclays Capital. His role was in charge of different structured finance and fixed income product development. He has completed different landmark transactions in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia. His specialty was to help both his corporate and banking clients raise capitals through various financing techniques and derivatives solutions.

Don holds a BSEE degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a MSEE degree from Purdue University, and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
