Celebrating Women’s Day with the Local Women of Cansaulim Village

“The strength of a woman is not measured by the impact that all her hardships in life have had on her; but the strength of a woman is measured by the extent of her refusal to allow those hardships to dictate her and who she becomes.”

We at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa are constantly trying to reach out to the needs of our community. In order to enable the physically challenged, elderly and sick to conveniently enter and exit the St. Thomas Church and St. Thomas School, Cansaulim, Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa built a ramp at the entrance of the church and school premises. These ramps have benefited the physically challenged students to conveniently access the ground floor of the school where the Resource Room is located. Fr. Sertorio Rodrigues, Parish Priest – St. Thomas Church and the village of Cansaulim was deeply touched by this lovely gesture and thanked us profusely.

Special Cycle Distribution

We at Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa are constantly looking for new ways to make a difference in the lives of people in our community.

In order to enable the physically challenged we built a ramp at the entrance of the St Thomas Church and school premises earlier this year in the month of May. These ramps have benefited the physically challenged students to conveniently access the ground floor of the school where the Resource Room is located. We have taken this initiative a step ahead, by providing two less privileged families, who have a physically challenged child in their respective homes, with a handicap cycle.

These were presented to the two physically challenged children on the 20th October following the Sunday Mass Service commemorating the feast of Our Lady of Boavida (Good Life). The cycles were presented by the Parish Priest Fr. Sertorio Rodrigues and our General Manager Mr. Thomas Abraham in the presence of Mrs. Josita Cardozo – Sarpanch of Cansaulim Village and Mr. Baylon Gomes – Deputy Sarpanch. The families were deeply touched by this lovely gesture and thanked us profusely.
