The floating markets of Bangkok

In Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, there are canals. These canals are home to many Thai people who still

work there today!!

Every day, this market opens from 6:30 a.m.

After 9 a.m., the tourist buses arrive…

…old ladies with big hats sit in small boats, filled with

tropical fruit and vegetables, fresh coconut

juice and local food….

It is a colorful, noisy, fascinating place…

It sells clothes, too..

After the noise and excitement of the market

continue along the canals…

…soon you will see floating flowers of

the canal villages…

…and wooden houses…

A perfect day in Provence…

In a small town called Isle-sur-la-Sorgue,

France, there is a truly amazing market…

This market opens every Sunday from early

morning…

…sellers calling to you in the singing accent of the

south…

It sells…. Roast chickens…

…olives…

…hundred of cheeses…

…flowers…

..herbs…

…soaps…

..tomatoes…

…ham..

…at 1.00 o’clock everything closes, and everyone goes home…

Then….It is time to find a cool place next to the river for a picnic on a perfect day in Provence…

The souks of Marrakech…

In the centre is the main square, Jemaa el Fna….

Here you can see dancing snakes…

..and…drink Moroccan coffee…

But……behind the square is the real heart of the city…

THIS IS THE SOUK!!!

Hundred of little shops are open from early morning till lunchtime, and again in the evening…

It sells…

…aromatic spices…

…meat…

…colorful clothes…

…gold and silver…

There is the carpet souk, too…

In Mr. Youssaf’s rug shop, he invites you to sit down among all the beautiful carpets and he talks about the different rugs…

TWO HOURS LATER……after many glasses of

traditional mint tea and lots of bargaining you finally choose

your rug….

Then……it is time to return to

the main square to watch the snakes and count

your money…
