Electric vehicles (EVs) includes vehicles that transports people or freight, and uses…

• a continuous supply of electricity, such as streetcars or light rail

• on-board electric generation with internal combustion engine (ICE), such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs)

• stored electricity, such as pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) or extended range electric vehicles (EREVs)
