Introduction Check that the following have been supplied with the product: • Installation • User’s Manual Guides can be downloaded from Nilan's website:http://www.nilan.dk/en-gb/frontpage/download

If, after reading the guide, you have any other questions concerning the installation of the product, please contact your nearest Nilan dealer. Go to www.nilan.dk/en-gb/frontpage/dealers/europe

The system is controlled by using the multifunctional CTS 700 control panel and the purpose of these instructions is to explain the menus and options available when using CTS 700.

As these instructions are designed to apply to different models, you may find descriptions of functions and facilities that are not available on your system.

The system is delivered ready to run.

The factory settings are intended to meet most users’ needs and it should therefore not be necessary to change any settings other than the main menu settings.

Fan speed - Fan level It is possible to turn the ventilation up and down as needed.

Ventilation levels are set in the Fan menu:

• Fan The ventilation can be set between 20 and 100%. NB! Remember at what % the system runs basic ventilation.

Fan speed - Humidity control As standard, Compact P has intelligent humidity control, to ensure an optimum humidity level at all times.

Humidity control is set in the Fan menu:

• Low RH setpoint (%) Set at which humidity level low ventilation is to be initiated. Adjustable between 15 and 45% (factory setting: 30%)

• Low speed at low RH (%) You can set the fan speed at low air humidity. Adjustable between 20 and 80% (factory setting: 25%).

• High speed at high RH You can set the fan speed at high air humidity. Adjustable between 30 and 100% (factory setting: 75 %). The high humidity function runs for minimum 15 minutes.

• Average Monthly RH (%) States the average humidity, RH (%) measured over the last 24 hours. It is possible to test the high humidity function by changing the relative humidity.

Fan speed - By cooling function Compact P can cool with the help of a bypass function, cooling energy recovery and compressor.Increasing the ventilation increases the cooling effect.

Cooling function is set in the Fan menu:

• High fan speed enabled High fan speed during cooling can be switched ON and OFF (factory setting: Off).

• Fan speed high (%) You can set the fan speed during passive cooling. Adjustable between 20 and 100 (factory setting: 80%).

Fan speed - at low outdoor temperature Longer periods of persistent frost will give low humidity in the home. This can be prevented by lowering the ventila-tion when the outdoor temperature is low.

Low outdoor temperature is set in the Fan menu:

• Low outdoor temp. Low fan speed function at low outdoor temperature can be switched ON and OFF (factory setting: off).

• Low outdoor temp. You can set at which outdoor temperature low fan speed should start (factory setting: 0°C).

• Low out-temp. speed (%) You can set the fan speed at low outdoor temperature (factory setting: 25%).

Fan speed - at CO2 control (Accessories) It is possible to control the ventilation according to the CO2 level, if a CO2 sensor is installed.CO2 control is overridden by: Humidity control, Low outdoor temperature and De-icing.

CO2 control is set in the Fan menu:

• Min CO2 level (ppm) This determines at which CO2 level control is to start (factory setting: 600 ppm).

• Min CO2 fan speed (%) Here you can set the fan speed at the start of the CO2 regulation (it is recommended to set the rate for basic ventilation) (factory setting: 25 %).

• Max CO2 level (ppm) This determines at which CO2 level ventilation should be highest (factory setting: 1260).

• Max CO2 fan speed (%) Here you set the fan speed at high CO2 level (factory setting: 100%).

Filter - Change filter settings The filters' primary purpose is to protect the ventilation aggregate's fans, heat exchangers and other components from the soiling in the air. It is therefore very important to change the filter when necessary, to ensure your system a long lifetime.

Air intake and extracted air filters are adjusted separately because if you choose an F7 Pollen filter, the lifetime of this filter is longer than for a standard G4 filter, and it therefore does not have to be replaced so often.

Filter settings are set in the Settings menu:

• Supply filter/Days from filter change Indicates how many days have passed since the last change of filter.

• Supply filter/Days to filter change Indicates the number of days that must elapse between switching filter. Recommendation: Standard G4 filter 90 days Pollen filter F7 180 days

• Supply filter/Supply SW filter reset After changing the filter, Click on ”OK” in ”Reset air intake filter”.

• Extract filter/Days from filter change Indicates how many days have passed since the last change of filter.

• Extract filter/Days to filter change Indicates the number of days that must elapse between switching filter. Recommendation: Standard G4 filter 90 days • Extract filter/Supply SW filter reset After changing the filter Click on ”OK” in ”Reset air intake filter”.

Filter - Filter monitoring As standard, filter monitoring is set as time-controlled (Timer), but can also be set for pressure-controlled monitoring, if required.

Filter monitoring is set in the Settings menu:

• Supply filter/Fresh air filter Set which filter monitoring is required • Hours: Counts the number of days (factory setting: 90 days) • Pressure: Pressure-controlled filter monitoring (accessory) • Free: • Digit: • None: No filter monitoring is required

• Air extract filter/Air extract filter Set which filter monitoring is required • Hours: Counts the number of days (factory setting: 90 days) • Pressure: Pressure-controlled filter monitoring (accessory) • Free: • Digit: • None: No filter monitoring is required

Standby - Ventilation at pause It can be a good idea to set the ventilation at pause when you on a summer day, for instance, have all the windows and doors open. In this period, hot water will be produced via the electrical supplementary.

Pause ventilation is set in the Standby menu:

• CP/Pause ventilation Here the ventilation is set at pause. Off: Ventilation ON On: Ventilation is shut down until next change in the weekly schedule.

(The ventilation starts automatically at the next change in the weekly plan if the weekly schedule is created.)

Standby - System state It is possible to read how the ventilation is running.

System state is read in the Information menu:

• CP/System state Display system operating mode. Auto: System operation - normal settings User: System operation - special settings Inact: System is shut down

Standby - Operating modes

You can change system settings to run the system in different operating modes.

Operating modes are set in the Standby menu:

• CP/Automatic – ON The system is running according to the pre-defined settings.

• CP/Heating Manual Operate – ON: The system is running (heating only)

• CP/Cooling Manual Operate – ON: The system is running (cooling only)

NB! Only one of the above options may be active.

Pause - Domestic hot water It is possible to temporarily shut down hot water production. This may be a good idea when you go on holiday.

The production of hot water is paused in the Standby menu:

• CP/Pause SHW Hot water production shut down until the next change in the weekly schedule.

If you wish to pause hot water production while you are on holiday, any weekly schedule that you have created must be deactivated.

Legionella combat system - Start Legionella combat system now. The legionella combat system can be set to function automatically, but it is also possible to start it at any time that suits you.

The legionella combat system is started in the Settings menu:

• CP/Legion mode/Start legionella now You can start the legionella combat system manually.

If you have been away on holiday for a long time and during this period have stopped the hot water production, it may be beneficial to start the legionella function manually.

Legionella combat system - Settings The legionella combat system can be set to function automatically.

The legionella combat system is set in the Settings menu:

• CP/Legion mode You can activate the combat system. Off: Legionella combat system inactive. Weekly: Legionella combat system runs once a week. Monthly: Legionella combat system runs once a month (factory setting: Off).

• CP/Legion mode/Day for anti-legionella Weekday or month in which the legionella combat system will run.

• CP/Legion mode/Legionella start (h) Time of day at which the legionella combat system will start.

The legionella combat system runs by heating the hot water to 65°C for 5 minutes. It is therefore a good idea to do this a good time before showering, to avoid scalding.
