Banners, Buttons and SkyscrapersThe costs of banner and button advertising can vary from website to website. Adwords is Google's own advertising network allowing you to place adverts that are displayed along with search resultswhen someone searches on Google using one of your targeted keywords at the top and right hand side of searchresults. The quality of a visitor

As shown in the example above, there so many different ways to attract people to your website but the quality of the person youattract can vary on sometimes a targeted promotion can improve the quality of visitors

SEO - As SEO improves your ranking on search engines, it in turn improves the content on your website. But as everyone usesgoogle, a visitor via a search engine could be an architect or could be a school child.

Google ads - Similarly to SEO, you cannot screen who clicks on your google ads. You can however choose a word that would appeal moreto architects and although you cannot be sure, you would expect those that type specific words into google know what they are talking about.

Magazine website - Magazine websites are primarily news sites so therefore you would assume that architects viewing thesewebsites are interested in your products but are not necessarily on that website with a view to purchasing.

Directory listing - As these are not news based you would expect the users on these websites would not be on them unless theywere looking to purchase product.

Social Media - As you can choose the people who follow you via social media, any visits from this source should be of reasonablyquality assuming you screen the people you accept.

Email using someone else's database - If you purchase a database of a certain demographic, any visits from this source wouldbe valuable as you have already identified them as a potential buyer.

Email using your database - Any visits that derive from your existing database are probably the most important as they have usedyou before, the fact that they are then on your website, you would hope that they would use you again.
