The Olympic symbol, better known as the

Olympic rings, consists of five intertwined rings

and represents the unity of the five inhabited

continents (AfricaAfricaAfricaAfrica, AmericaAmericaAmericaAmerica, AsiaAsiaAsiaAsia, AustraliaAustraliaAustraliaAustralia,

EuropeEuropeEuropeEurope).

The colors—BlueBlueBlueBlue, YellowYellowYellowYellow, BlackBlackBlackBlack, GreenGreenGreenGreen, & RedRedRedRed —

over a white field forms the Olympic flag. These

colors were chosen because every nation had at

least one of them on its national flag.

London2012 Olympics has come and

gone, what remains are the memories.

Some came, competed, conquered and

were crowned! Others came but to

experience champions do their thing,

hopefully one day they will return to be

crowned!

My country (Nigeria), Came but without a

medal to show for it! Next… a presentation on the way forward for the likes of

Nigeria so they may be celebrated in years to come.
