Types of Disciplinary Actions

AcademicProbationAcademicProbationisasanctionplacedonorganizationsbythegoverningcouncilsforfailingtomeettheminimumchapterGPA.ForIFC,itisa2.60cumulativesemesterGPA.ForNPHC,theminimumisa2.30.NPCdoesnotcurrentlyhaveaminimum.However,thecouncilhistoricallyhasatorabovea3.0eachsemesterasacommunity.ForNPHC,thisisafullsemesterofprobationprohibitingthemfromanytypeofsocialevent.Theyarestillallowedtoparticipateindryphilanthropyeventsandcampus-wideevents.ForIFC,thisisthefirstsixweeksoftheFallsemester.Itprohibitsallparties,mixers,andeventswithalcohol.DisciplinaryProbationDisciplinaryProbationisasanctionthatisplacedontheorganizationbyeithertheirinter/nationalheadquartersortheuniversity.Theseverityofthepunishmentisdeterminedbytheextentoftheoffense.
