OFF THE JOB TRAINING.

Off the job training is the one that is done by taking the employees away from their

normal working place for training. They provide enjoyable way of learning skills

such as Management and bonding for employees that enhances their productivity.

TECHNIQUES FOR OFF THE JOB TRAINING

ROLE PLAYING

It is also a simulated exercise. The participants have to assume a role of person in the

simulated situation. They have to react to one another in the similar manner as they would

be doing a job as manger in real situation. Participants are given a list of learning points

which they have to use during executive subordinate encounter. They can take the help of

videos for improvement in management skills. Through this technique the human relation

skills, marketing and sales management, interviewing skills are acquired.

MERITS

The outcome and feedback is known immediately.

Trainees participate in entire proceeding and so they take in the rest and are involved.

It develops skill in applying knowledge in areas of human relations

DEMERITS

Selection of participants for the rolls is also another tricky situation.

Some times it so happens that the role players fail to do the job effectively

Re-enforcement of the desired behaviour may be lacking unless follow-up discursion

are organised to assess the impact of the session.
