I Am an Expression of the One(2004)

I am an Expression of the One. A Reflection of your hopes and dreams, your fears and your love. A Microcosm of the Universe and all there is, seen and unseen. I am no better than you, nor am I worse. I am as equally unique in my experiences as you are in yours. I humbly offer my observations of Oneness in a Self-induced and Self-perpetuating Illusion of Separation and Suffering. Suffering exists because we believe that it is a part of our Reality. But Suffering, like all things, is an Illusion -- a vibrational frequency pattern of the One. To break free from the Illusion is to realize that we are All One. Infinite Oneness is the only Truth. All else is Illusion. To realize that All Is One is to realize that Suffering is but a Reflection of our Self. A manifestation of our Fear. To break free from the Illusion of Fear is to realize that our Fears are but a Reflection of our Self. To realize that what we run from is our own Shadow, and that Shadow will continue to haunt us until we turn around and face our Fears. Once we turn around, we realize that our Fear of the Unknown is in reality a mirror image of our Self. The Suffering that exists in our Reality is but an Illusion brought about by our Fear of the Unknown. But to know thy Self is to Know that there is no Unknown, for All Is One. All is Known. Separation from All that is and can be Known is an Illusion. When we stand face-to-face with our Reflection and we do not like what we see, changing the Reflection does not change anything. In order to change the Reflection, WE must change. We must BE the change. Only then will our Reflection change. Only then will our Enemies change. Only then will the World change. Only then will Reality change. Only then will Suffering end. For everything is but an Illusion that perpetuates so long as we believe that the Illusion is our fixed Reality. But it doesn't have to be. The Illusion need not control us, for the Illusion is merely a frequency pattern of the One. Rather, we can master the Illusion, for we are One with the Illusion. And with that Awareness comes Power. Power over the Illusion. Power to defy the Illusion. With Awareness comes Unlimited Potential. The Potential to literally move mountains. To bring an end to War. To bring an end to Suffering. To literally change the World. To be the Solution. To be the Miracle. But the change begins with the You. The Revolution starts from within.

A Call for Awareness to the Hip-Hop Generation:The Realization of Hip-Hop's Ultimate Purpose and Destiny

(2004)

Our generation has personally witnessed and experienced the birth, maturation, manipulation and degradation of Hip-Hop as a culture born out of injustice and adopted as the quintessential voice to those for whom justice and equality has turned a blind eye. Like government, religion and all other institutions, Hip-Hop is also a tool, and like all tools it can be used either to build or to destroy depending on who's hand wields it. Unfortunately, as we have clearly witnessed in both government and religion, Humanity has once again handed over yet another tool -- the mighty hammer that is Hip-Hop -- to those who wish to strike us down and remodel the culture we have slowly built from the ground up into an abomination that serves their material self-interests. Today, we see in Hip-Hop the results of a culture hijacked by a corporate machine engaged in a war against all of Humanity, bent on dividing us from other cultures, fueling our mistrust and hatred towards one another, and ultimately controlling us through fear. Hip-Hop as a tool is now a weapon of mass destruction aimed directly at the Hip-Hop culture, and all other cultures interwoven with Hip-Hop shall be considered collateral damage.

It is simply human nature for us to seek to control that which we fear, and there is no question why that from its inception Hip-Hop has been seen as a pariah in the eyes of the powers that be that continue to control the populace that gives credence to their power. Rock n' Roll is an empty shell of what it was and what it could have been thanks to the corporate machine, and like Hip-Hop, Rock n' Roll was a music and culture born out of injustice and adopted as the voice for the voiceless. This is no coincidence, for these cultures have one thing in common: they were a threat to the consensus norm governed by separation and fear. Like Rock n' Roll in its heyday, Hip-Hop is seen by the powers that be as a unifying force capable of dismantling the conformity of the consensus norm and ushering in a new age of Unity that they no longer have control of. Within a span of two decades, Hip-Hop was capable of reaching out not only to the urban youth of the Bronx and Brooklyn, but to the urban youth suffering injustice throughout the entire East Coast. It reached out to the youth suffering injustice in the inner-cities of Los Angeles, Oakland and the entire West Coast. It reached out to the youth suffering injustice in the Dirty South. It reached out to the youth suffering injustice in Chicago, Detroit and the entire Mid-West. Hip-Hop reached out to all those who have suffered and witnessed injustice and inequality from every corner, every city and every suburb of the United States. But it didn't stop there. Hip-Hop extended its reach over to the youth suffering injustice in the isles of the Caribbean. It reached over to the youth in South America. It reached over the Atlantic Ocean, inspiring the youth suffering injustice in South London, the UK and all of Europe.

5

Page 6: Observations of Oneness

It reached out to the youth suffering gross injustice in the African motherland. It reached out to the youth in Eastern Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia, the Philippines and the islands of the South Pacific. Within a span of two decades, Hip-Hop managed what many within the consensus norm deemed impossible: it became a worldwide culture. It became the voice for the impoverished, marginalized and disaffected youth living in countries throughout the world, suffering injustice at the hands of the globalist elite. Hip-Hop became a unifying force capable of waking up Humanity from its arrested state of awareness and spiritual development. Hip-Hop soon epitomized what the power elite and the corporate machine feared most: losing control over us, the very people that -- through our ignorance, self-doubt and fear -- continue to keep them in positions of power, persistent in our delusional belief that they are serving our best interests. But we are nothing to them but slaves born and bred to unwittingly build their globalist edifice, making us use our very tools to destroy the cultures we built, and remodel them into their own materialist abomination fueled by separation and fear. The powers that be could not destroy Hip-Hop, so it instead decided to take it over, for it is simply human nature for us to seek to control that which we fear.

The Hip-Hop music we listen to and the "culture" it now represents is the result of the corporate takeover of Hip-Hop. The denunciation of the glorification of violence, misogyny and materialism in Hip-Hop music by the powers that be merely hides the fact that it is their own corporate machine that continues to proliferate and perpetuate this glorification into our Hip-Hop culture and subsequently into other cultures. Hip-Hop is now another corporate vehicle used to peddle its goods to the impoverished and shallow youth, conditioned to believe that materialism equals happiness. Conditioned to believe that Hip-Hop is synonymous with aspirations of money, fame, expensive cars, fancy clothes, name-brand sneakers, pimpin' hoes and the violence that comes with keepin' it real. The corporate machine has effectively taken advantage of the inequality, injustice and insecurity felt among those of the Hip-Hop culture in order to properly mold the Hip-Hop generation into obedient consumers. The effect of this is a Hip-Hop generation systematically dumbed down in order to keep it from realizing its true potential, as well as the truth that our supposed love for Hip-Hop is in reality being used as a tool to serve the agenda of a materialist corporate elite. The cause of this is fear among the powers that be of the Hip-Hop culture realizing it's ultimate purpose and destiny as a tool to unify all people and all cultures.

We of the Hip-Hop culture have a choice, and the choice is this: Shall we continue to allow Hip-Hop to be used as a corporate tool to destroy ourselves and our culture, or shall we take it back in order to use Hip-Hop as a tool to unite Hip-Hop heads, all people, all races and all cultures? Will Hip-Hop be yet another flash-in-the-pan movement that could have been, or will it be the movement that speaks for the Buddha's, the Christ's, the Ghandi's, the Lennon's and the King's in all of us

6

Page 7: Observations of Oneness

who seek peace, justice and equality for all of Humankind, free from fear and the manipulation of truth? We of the Hip-Hop culture have the utmost responsibility to nurture what we built as MC's, DJ's, Beatboxers, Breakdancers, Graffiti Artists, and all Hip-Hop fans worldwide. Nobody can usher in a dawning of a new age for the Hip-Hop culture but us. I truly believe that this is the ultimate purpose and destiny of Hip-Hop. We are more than a music. We are more than a culture. We are a movement destined for great things if we only believe in ourselves and our potential. In the spirit of those who have fallen before us. In the spirit of those who sacrificed their lives, standing up against injustice, inequality and the powers that seek to continue to conquer us through fear and separation. I am calling for a Revolution, but not a Revolution of might. Not a Revolution to instill fear in the hearts and minds of those who have hijacked the Hip-Hop culture. Doing so will make us no better than them. Rather, what I am calling for is a Revolution from within. A Revolution of the Self. A Revolution by which we change our perspective of Hip-Hop, the world, our significant purpose in this world, and those who seek to use Hip-Hop for their own selfish gain. A Revolution by which we use our minds, hearts and wits rather than our fists to undermine the corporate machine's stranglehold of our culture from the inside-out. The corporate machine has met us half way by bringing us into their fold, and now it is our turn return the favor. I am calling for all major record label Hip-Hop artists assimilated into the corporate power structure to utilize its resources to raise awareness among the Hip-Hop youth. I am calling for the Hip-Hop Underground to build solidarity under the banner of Peace and Nonviolence. I am calling for Hip-Hop heads worldwide to stand for Unity and Justice, and to be a beacon of Hope and Love in the eyes of those who still see us as a beacon of Hatred and Fear. I am calling for the Hip-Hop generation to stop fighting each other, for that is what the powers that be want us to do so that we don't realize the rug being pulled from under us. I am calling for the Hip-Hop generation to wake up from its self-perpetuated mass delusion of materialism, misogyny and violence as part of what it means to be Hip-Hop. While the corporate machine has used our weaknesses to their advantage, we bear the ultimate responsibility for our actions in the name of Hip-Hop, and only we can change our image in the eyes of the world and among ourselves. Only we can rise above and beyond anyone's expectations of us as individual heads and as a global movement of Peace, Love and Justice. Only we are capable of seeing in Hip-Hop the potential to usher in a new age of Oneness, free from Fear and the Delusion of Separation.

The corporate elite that fears the Hip-Hop movement is not our enemy. They only seek to control that which they fear. A Revolution of vengeance and might in opposition to those whom we believe oppress us similarly seeks to exert control over that which we fear. Thus, fighting fear with fear, no matter how benevolent one's intentions are, only validates and constitutes more fear. This leads to even greater injustice and will never lead to true justice, peace and equality. Rather than

7

Page 8: Observations of Oneness

enemies, the corporate elite and all those whom we believe threaten Hip-Hop and all cultures worldwide are simply reflections of our own fears, just as we are a reflection of theirs. We cannot change a reflection of our Selves by forcing the reflection to change. In order to change our reflection, we must change. We must be the change. This is what I mean by a Revolution of the Self. The Revolution starts from within, and begins by realizing that we must disbelieve in our limitations. It begins by being the change you wish others to be, especially those whom you fear. It is believing in the power of Love as the only way to bring an end to injustice. The Revolution that I am calling for within the Hip-Hop movement is not one of violence or indignation, but rather through the exemplification of Love. It is through exemplifying Awareness. Exemplifying Respect. Exemplifying Humility. Exemplifying Solidarity. Exemplifying Understanding. Exemplifying Compassion. Exemplifying Oneness. Only by changing our Selves can the Hip-Hop cultural movement begin to un-realize Fear and Separation as an inescapable reality in our lives and realize true Peace and Happiness. This can be the ultimate purpose and destiny of Hip-Hop, but only if you make it so.

To be a self-realized Hip-Hop head is the ultimate reality one can experience within the Hip-Hop cultural movement. But awareness is only one half of the equation. The other half is applying your awareness. To do something about it. And so, after all that you have read, the question I ask of you is this: What are you gonna do about it?

Oneness and Attachment to the Illusion of Separation(11/19/2004)

Anything that vibrates is an Illusion of Separation within Oneness. Oneness free from Illusion is the state of total balance and stillness. Once Oneness vibrates, it becomes an Expression of its own Self, unique in its own right within the Illusion of Separation but at the same time encompassing all of Oneness in its entirety. The Separation perceived by an Expression of Oneness (and all that vibrates is an Expression of Oneness) only exists in Illusion, since energy that vibrates creates a parabolic oscillation of the One energy. This oscillation of energy is what creates the Illusion of Polarity/Duality (meaning, we can never be free from opposing forces unless we stop vibrating!), which in turn manifests into the Illusion of Karma, which in turn manifests into the Illusion of Motion, which in turn manifests into the Illusion of Time. It is from the Illusion of Time manifested by the Illusion of Separation ("Space") within Oneness where we get the Illusion of the Unknown. Once an Expression of Oneness believes in the "reality" of the Unknown, it loses its awareness of its Self being Oneness, and that it is detached not only from Oneness but also from other Expressions of Oneness. This "densest" level of the Illusion of Separation is what we are experiencing now -- Oneness forgetting it is Oneness, so to speak, within the Space/Time Illusion. When one perceives one's self as a separate entity from All, it begins to Fear the Unknown, since it cannot perceive beyond its own limited physical senses. This Fear of the Unknown leads to Attachment to the Illusion of Separation, since the Illusion is all that the individual can perceive as "known". Attachment to the Illusion of Separation is what causes the Illusion of Suffering. The Space/Time loop of "history repeating itself" is in fact our subconscious choice of revisiting instances and events where we have yet to realize that our self-induced Suffering is caused by our Attachment to the Illusion of Separation. Any form of suffering that repeats itself, from war to abusive relationships, is caused by Attachment. Our Attachment to the Illusions of vanity, old age, weight gain, selfish love, possessions, fame, money, power, materialism, etc., is the source of our self-induced and self-perpetuating experiences of Suffering. Therefore, there is no way one can end Suffering unless one lets go of the Illusion of Separation. Letting go is the greatest challenge for an Expression of Oneness, because our Fear of the Unknown has made us latch onto anything that we "know" is certain... like money, our looks, power, fame and materialism. Ultimately, it will be our Egos -- which thrive within the Illusion of Separation -- that will stand in our way to fully realizing Oneness. When we turn around and face our fears, what we will see is a reflection of our Selves. All the suffering we see around us -- and in fact all the people, places and instances we perceive around us -- are reflections of our hopes, loves, desires and fears. To begin to break free from the Illusion of Suffering is to realize that no matter how we try to change our reflection (ie., trying to change or impose our will or beliefs upon others), we can never change anything unless we change our

9

Page 10: Observations of Oneness

Self. Letting go of our own Selves is the final frontier for an Expression of Oneness to finally realize Oneness free from Illusion. Until that time comes, we will all continue to partake in the Illusion of Separation for what its worth, make the most of the lives we so choose to live, and live them how we wish to live them according our beliefs and perceptions of Self in relation to All. Whether we choose to see the true Oneness beyond the Veil of Forgetfulness, and live in accordance to our realization and understanding what All Is One, is entirely up to us.

Oneness Against the Machine(03/11/2005)

It humbles me to know that your path was destined to converge with mine. Every step we take is a step closer to our own further understanding of Self, and every person we meet is literally a reflection of our desire to understand the very nature of who we are through others. When our paths cross, not only does it mean that you subconsciously chose this particular path so that it would connect with my own, but also that I subconsciously chose my particular path so that it would connect with yours. The path to self-awareness and self-understanding is reciprocal and equal. Each of us learn equally of ourselves through others. No one person has greater wisdom and experience gained than the other, since everyone is an aspect of one's own Self. Therefore, I will learn as much about my Self through you as you will through me. There is no hierarchy, since that is only an Illusion that man exploits to control others less aware of this truth. All the cultural Isms that divide one people from each other through lines of skin color, gender, religion and so forth, is simply a challenge so that Humanity can see beyond the Illusion of Separation and through it our inherent Oneness and Equality. So long as we invest and perpetuate the Illusion of Separation by believing in the value of the Illusion of Separation (i.e., materialism, classism, capitalism, etc.), we will always live in a state of inequality, imbalance, injustice, exploitation, poverty, starvation, and self-perpetuated suffering. The powers that be -- the elite ruling classes -- derive their power from our constant belief in the Illusion of Separation. It is this belief that drives the machine -- the soulless abomination -- that invades countries and destroys cultures in the name of profit and under the guise of freedom. The machine is the God that the powers that be worship and want us to believe in, and so long as we believe in it, we are bound to obey for fear of the wrath of disbelieving in this false God that punishes those who go against it and blesses those who feed and sustain the beast of Separation. That is why the rich and powerful believe they are so because they are blessed by God. That is why they put down those who are poor or homeless for not accepting their God of profit and exploitation -- their God of Separation. The indigenous people of all colors resonate with this message of Oneness deep inside them. Oneness was our inherent spirituality before the religion of Separation came to confuse and brainwash Mankind into believing that they are the Truth and the only way to salvation. The indigenous peoples of the world struggle to keep the machine from taking over their lands and forcing them to assimilate into itself and accept a new culture sustained by mass consumerism. I see it today in my birth country of the Philippines. Kids who prefer to go to Starbucks rather than the mom and pop store across the street. Kids on their cellphones and in the malls rather than being with their family. The machine does not want us to lose faith in it, because its power comes from us always believing in the value of material things and people over others... the hierarchy... the inequality... the Illusion of Separation. And so, the only

11

Page 12: Observations of Oneness

true war is within us. The battle between good and evil is in fact the battle of Self between Oneness and Separation. The Illusion of Separation wants us to think that Oneness can never be a reality, and that it will only be a path of constant suffering in a world that wishes to remain in a state of delusion and material fantasy. The powers that be, conscious of it or not, are agents of the Illusion of Separation. They fear that which they do not understand, and that which they do not understand they try to eliminate. And if they cannot do that, they will distort it so that they can control it. All that our leaders know is the Illusion of Separation. They know no better, so they fight and make wars for that which they believe is all that matters and exists. But they are not our enemy. They are simply a reflection of our Self and it's fear of the unknown and it's unwillingness to let go of the Illusion of Separation. We are like the battered wife who holds on to her marriage even though her husband continues to beat her. She knows no other life but this, and fears the uncertainty of leaving him. So she allows herself to be abused, because at least she knows what to expect. The cycle continues throughout history and within us. And the only way out is to let go. To not be afraid, for there is nothing to fear but our Selves. Our mirror image changes only when we change. Thus, to change others, we must first change ourselves.

We're all caught up in the machine, and that's why the path of the one who has awaken from the delusion seems like an uphill struggle. But the universe always unfolds as it should. Humankind is itself one conscious being trying to figure itself out. We're in our adolescent, predatory stage of development in the eyes of the universe, and we have yet to fully learn and let go of our fear-driven behavior of controlling others. The immature, egocentric mind refuses to see itself as the problem, and runs from its own shadow as it bullies others thinking that the solution lies in seeing itself separate, and thus greater than the world, rather than being equal, interdependent, and one with it. What seems as a downward plunge into oblivion is, in the eyes of the universe, merely the next stage in the collective human development. No epoch of evolution has occurred without great suffering caused by those refusing to let go of their old ways. As they wrote in Christian mythology, Satan laid claim on the world and made it the reality it is today, knowing full well of the inevitable... that one day God will come and take it all back. Unwilling to let go of the kingdom he created in his likeness, Satan obviously will do all it takes to keep it, and will go so far as to exploit all of his world's resources and people as a last fit to hold onto all that he believes is real... like a child with a temper tantrum latching onto a toy he stole before his daddy takes it back. The child doesn't want to accept the truth of what it had done, nor does he want to let go of what he thinks is rightfully his. But the father knows that the only way to grow up is to let go... and that in reality the child will gain more than he will lose if he just lets go of his old ways. Our planet is our mother and we are her only begotten children. Like any mother, she patiently allows us to exploit her of her unselfish generosity and limited resources, hoping one day that her brat

12

Page 13: Observations of Oneness

of a child will grow up and realize its true potential and destiny in the universe. The cosmos mocks our mother, throwing asteroids and cosmic radiation at her child, but she continues to protect her even if the universe thinks we are a hopeless cause. This is what the story of Mary and her child who became the Christ is about. It's an allegory of our lives on earth and the Christ that we all are destined to become if we let go of our old ways. Jesus as a child refused his destiny, and so he left the comforts of his mother to journey alone in the desert. His entire teenage life was undocumented in the Bible. Why? Because we are documenting and experiencing his teenage life as we speak. The struggle, the denial, the attachment, the humanity of it all. And then when we grow out of our teenage lives, we will have to confront our own reflection -- the machine and all those who sustain the delusion of separation; that aspect of you that refuses to let go of the reality it has invested so much of itself in. The inner struggle of man is the true Armageddon. Because man refuses to confront its Self from within, the struggle manifests itself into the outside world. But we will fight constant wars and kill millions more until we realize that the war is really within us. And when we conquer our egos, we will have taken that next step in our inevitable evolution. And then our planet -- our mother -- can finally let go, move on with her own life and evolve as well. As it all should.

13

Page 14: Observations of Oneness

To Live in the Moment(03/18/2005)

To know love is to let go. Letting go is necessary for the universe to continually evolve, for non-attachment is the essence of all growth. Non-attachment is to always live consciously in the moment; to not hold on to the past or to the future that is yet to come. To live in the moment doesn't mean to not care about the past, but rather to not allow the past to keep us from appreciating the moment at hand. To live in the moment doesn't mean to not look forward to the future, but rather to not allow the future to outshine the moment that longs to be noticed. To live in the moment is to see everything that comes your way not as obstacles, but as opportunities for reciprocal growth and understanding of Self. Non-attachment is to always allow for change, for change is the only constant thing in life. Non-attachment is to unselfishly give of yourself without expecting anything in return. Non-attachment is to always be in love with the moment and what it has in store for us as a new moment unfolds. Our attachment to our Ego -- that which keeps our minds stuck in either the past or the future so as to prevent our hearts from experiencing the present moment -- is the cause of all suffering. To truly experience love, we must let go and realize that loss is but an Illusion that prevents us from finding our Selves. There is no such thing as the past. There is no such thing as the future. There is only the present. There is only this moment, and there will never again be a moment quite like the moment you and I are sharing right NOW.

God and the Glass of Water(04/21/2005)

God is like a glass of water. Pure and refreshing. Some people can drink it straight. Others think that it's too harsh or plain, and they need to sweeten it up a bit. Add some flavor. So some people mix it with Tang. Some mix it with iced tea. Some heat it up and make hot coffee out of it. Some add ice cubes in it. Some make it into lemonade. Their personal preference is based on their personal experiences, where they came from, what his mama gave him to drink as a kid, what her mama gave her to drink as a kid, and so on. Sometimes some people grow tired of the same ol' drink and they try a new one. Some of those people switch entirely and never look back, while some go back to their old drink of choice. Whatever flavor makes it easier to down that glass of water, people will do it. And sometimes some people go back to drinking plain old water again. It doesn't matter what we put in our water. Whether it's sweet or salty or bitter, it's still the same water. What started as water will always end as water. Whatever we mix in our water is no better or worse than what other people mix in theirs. It's only when one person claims their flavor is better than another's that we begin to have problems. And oftentimes some people drink the same glass of flavored water for so long that they don't know anything else but that flavor. The flavor becomes their water. What they think is pure water is in reality a flavor preventing them from tasting the pure water that is inherent in all people's drinks. Religion, of course, is the flavor. People need to realize that no religious or spiritual belief is better or worse than the other. It's all just one's own personal preference as to how they choose to down their glass of water... how they choose to partake in their relationship with the divine nature that is inherent within and throughout us and all things.

Always Darkest Before Dawn(06/12/2005)

We often get impatient watching history unfold, witnessing those still caught up in the illusion as they cause suffering through serving their own selfish, fear-driven interests. But we are all like children reading a storybook together, and just because you and I are already at the end of the page doesn't mean that others are. In order for us to turn the page, we must ALL turn the page together. The page must be read by all before we may proceed to the next chapter. We must all come to the realization together, so that we may ALL choose to turn the page as One. Impatience and forcing others to turn the page with us when they are not ready makes us no different than those who force us to remain on the same page due to their own selfishness and Fear of letting go of the Illusion. The suffering we are witnessing before us is simply the final page in this chapter of our lives. Those fully immersed in the Illusion know nothing but Illusion, and they fear letting go of the river banks as the waters naturally proceed to move forward. This attachment is what causes them and all they are connected to much suffering. Energy only wants to move forward and it cannot be bottled up and remain stagnant for long. We are all of the One Energy, and it is in our nature to move forward so as to continue on in our paths to Self-Realization. The waters are rising up to the top of the dam, and it won't be long until the waters that wish to only move forward finally overflow or break through the barriers of our Attachment to the Illusion. This is all part of the process of personal, reciprocal and collective Self-Realization and growth. We're all in this together. We are all One. The new chapter is over the horizon. The new dawn is fast approaching. We are all bearing witness to the darkest hour of our lives, but never forget that the night is always at its darkest before dawn.

Reaffirmation through Resonance,Evolution through Adversity

That which we normally think makes us grow spiritually actually serves to reinforce our current perspective. That which we normally think hinders us from spiritual growth is in fact the greatest catalyst for self-realization and evolution.

There are two types of people we will encounter in our lives -- those that reinforce our current perspectives and those who challenge them. For example, to those whose spiritual understanding resonates similarly with my own, we may serve as catalysts for each other's forward spiritual growth; that is, my existence as it converges onto your path serves to encourage you forward on your spiritual path and reaffirm your current spiritual perspective, and vice-versa. We serve to cast no doubt on each other's paths and perspectives. In the playing field of existence we have chosen to partake in, I am your cheerleader and you are mine.

However, to those whose spiritual understanding runs contrary to my own, we may serve as catalysts for each other's upward spiritual growth; that is, my existence as it converges onto your path serves to encourage you upward on your spiritual path by challenging your current spiritual perspective, and vice-versa. Unwittingly or not, we serve to cast doubt on each other's paths and perspectives. In the playing field of existence we have chosen to partake in, we are each other's adversary, enemy, and foe. If we choose, we can perceive ourselves as obstacles to our forward progression. Many of us still do. We can fight each other and you may beat me, but doing so will only clear the path back onto our current spiritual perspectives that we have both become complacent with.

In truth, it is only when our current perspectives are challenged that we are presented with the opportunity for upward spiritual growth and wisdom. The immovable object is immovable because it is not meant to be moved. It is not for us to change or mold in order to serve our perceptions. It serves to make us move, to remold ourselves and reassess our perceptions. It is our stepping stone onto a higher level of understanding if we so choose to see it that way. True wisdom can only be earned through surpassing adversity by reconciling with that which on the surface seems to obstruct us from our forward progression, but in reality is a stepping stone to our upward enlightenment. When we are on that higher plane of spiritual understanding, we will no longer share the same perspective that we had held onto before -- in truth, our spiritual perspective will be far greater and can never again be less as we progress onto an entirely new path forward.

When the Least of My People are Blamed(05/08/2006)

If it is true that American citizens are willing to work the jobs and undergo the conditions only illegal immigrants are willing to subject themselves to, then why don't I see any of our millions of unemployed and/or homeless American citizens stand side-by-side with the illegal immigrant day laborers patiently waiting to get picked up in front of your local Home Depot stores? Why don't I see our millions of unemployed and/or homeless American citizens selling oranges or mangos on street corners rather than complaining that "those damn Mexicans" have taken their jobs and opportunities away from them? Why don't I see any of our millions of unemployed and/or homeless American citizens lining up to get jobs as plantation pickers, garment district sewers, or hotel maids? Don't our American brothers and sisters realize the potential job opportunities they can tap into? Look at all the produce for sale you see in your supermarkets. Look at all those houses, condos and office parks being built in and around your neighborhoods. Look at your neighbor's driveway being repaved and additional room being added. Look at all the latest technological devices you and your friends carry inside your pockets and purses. Look at the very clothes and shoes that you wear, and all the clothes that you and your family own in your walk-in closets. Look at all the junk you own, and all the junk you covet? These are the fruits of millions of jobs just waiting for you to take! Am I right? You deserve it. You have been a hardworking, tax-paying American citizen all your life, right? You are entitled to it and all that this bountiful country offers, correct? Of course!

Then why don't I see you standing next to your illegal brethren, waiting for an American citizen to pick you out among the eager crowd of immigrant day laborers in front of Home Depot, so you can help repave this American citizen's driveway or renovate his home? If you need a job so much, then why don't I see you lining up to get jobs as a cherry plantation picker or a Best Western hotel maid? Is it because you know you won't be offered a fair and adequate living wage? Is it because you are afraid that the working conditions won't be up to decent humane standards? Is it because you won't be able to unionize if and when you believe you are being treated unfairly by your employers? Is it because you are afraid to be treated as less than human, with little to no regard of you and your family's well-being? Of course. Even the poor and homeless believe they deserve to be treated with respect.

Then what really is to blame? That is for you to ask yourself. Most are content with swatting mosquitoes to no end. Some choose to drain the water hole from which they hatched from. Few question why there is a hole in the first place.

human encroachment that has decimated her family's food source and way of life. She ventures off into the unknown of the urban wilderness looking for only the meager scraps discarded by these gluttonous humans so that she may return home to feed her needy children with whatever food she can find. In her search to feed herself and her children, she is eventually discovered by a fearful human, and is shot dead. She risked her life for the sake of her children. You would have done the same.

To quote a man whom millions of righteous Americans worship, but few if any actually strive to truly exemplify: "Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me."

To the least of my people.

He cries out for Armageddon, raping & murdering the heathens to clear the way for his righteous soul to be taken up by his Lord. But it is he who will be Left Behind, alone in a wasteland of his own making to feed off the corpses of those truly ascended.
