Let the Kings of Swing put you "In the Mood" to dance to the tunes of theBig Band era. Sing and swing with the sounds of Sammy Kay, BennyGoodman, Tommy Dorsey, and Glenn Miller in a USO canteen style setting.Dance instructors will be available.

This annual event aims to teach students grades four through six howKansans have been "living green" for generations. Learn how nature and theenvironment have shaped our lives and how we, in turn, have impacted ourenvironment. The fair features 30 hands-on activities and displays and anature trail that can educate students in many aspects of environmentalissues. Students can

. learn about bluebirds and their habitato explore what goes into "growing" a pizzar learn how to make roper meet animals that are true super heroes

Visitors can also tour the Kansas Museum of History.

Archaeologyin the Classroom

B a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday - FridayJuly 29 - 3tMuseum at PrairiefireOverland Park

Discover how Project Archaeology fosters an understanding of past andpresent cultures while it improves social studies, science, and literacyeducation. The standards-based curriculum is appropriate for, but not limitedto, grades three through eight. This course is designed for pre-serviceteachers, in-service educators, and archeologists who wish to teach ProjectArchaeology to students or facilitate teacher workshops.
