New Years Eve Tickets on sale

Tickets for New Years Eve are now on sale for four prime vantage points on the North Sydney foreshore.

Council is selling 34,000 tickets for New Years Eve across four local parks - Mary Booth Reserve, Bradfield Park, Quibaree Park and Blues Point Reserve. Tickets can be purchased online through ticketing agent Ticketbooth for $10 plus a booking fee of $2.75.

All tickets will be sold online prior to the event and no tickets will be sold at the gate. Visitors will only be able to enter the parks with a valid ticket. Infants under 2 years old will be admitted free but will still need a ticket which can be booked online with an adult ticket.

North Sydney Mayor Jilly Gibson said New Years Eve was the most anticipated event of the year with tens of thousands of people visiting North Sydney’s foreshore.

Quibaree Park is a small harbourside oasis and hidden gem in Lavender Bay. Visitors will command an excellent view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and fireworks spectacular. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold for this intimate location and it is expected to sell-out fast.

Mary Booth Reserve in Kirribilli is also expected to sell-out fast with 3,000 tickets being sold at this superior vantage point. The reserve’s close proximity to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, coupled with unbeatable panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House, creates a close-up immersive New Years Eve experience. Guests can enjoy the light show on the face of the Bridge while one of the world’s largest fireworks displays illuminates above them.

Photography enthusiasts may prefer the spectacular panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and fireworks from Blues Point Reserve in McMahons Point. Set back from the Bridge, the reserve has large flat open spaces and is a family favourite with 8,000 tickets being sold for this spot.

You can’t get any closer to the action than iconic Bradfield Park in Milsons Point. Nestled next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it is the largest New Years Eve vantage point on the North Shore with 22,000 tickets being sold.

All four vantage points will open at 8am for ticketholders and they will all be glass and alcohol free. Food trucks will be serving a variety of food (including vegan and vegetarian options) and hot and cold drinks at all sites (except Mary Booth reserve). Pass-outs are also permitted on the day.

North Sydney Olympic Pool will also be holding a New Years Eve event for the 9pm fireworks. These tickets are expected to go on sale in November. Applications for a dedicated accessible-friendly viewing area on Milsons Point Wharf will also open today on Council’s website, with a limited number of spaces available.

There will be extensive road closures on the day near all the vantage points. North Sydney and Milsons Point Train Stations are the best way for patrons to travel to the event.
