Nasscom partners Oriental Insurance to roll out health plans for members

• Nasscom has partnered with Oriental Insurance Co Ltd to introduce a common health insurance programme for all its members.

• The alliance will enable Nasscom member companies – particularly its 700-plus Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) members - to offer cost-effective health insurance plans for their employees.

• Currently, the healthcare insurance cost structures are such that SMEs either find it difficult to get cover or have to cough up high premiums. The memorandum of understanding between Nasscom and Oriental Insurance will ensure that IT member companies would be able to enjoy better benefits (as per Group benefit structure) and lower premiums under this `Technology Worker Health Plan'.
