As an aviation executive, one of my most challenging tasks is to shed light on the myths and facts about airplane and airport jobs. The aviation industry is a highly competitive field and people joining the field need to know all of their potential options within it.

1. Myth: It’s too Competitive
It’s commonly thought that there are many people applying for these jobs at airports and that, as a result, it’s too competitive to get an interview. While it’s true there will be a lot of people applying for these jobs which means it’s important to make yourself stand out, the opportunities are plentiful.
There are thousands of jobs in this industry but you might think it’s too competitive. Maybe you’ve already been to an interview and thought how I could compete with so many people for fewer positions.
