MATERIAL:
A printer Paper plate Glue
Scissors Fastener Numbers 1-12 and arrows
template
Construction paper Colour pencils Teddy bear template
INSTRUCTIONS:
Print and cut out the numbers 1- 12 and arrow template. Take a paper plate and paste the
numbers according the point that teacher marked. Firstly, paste number 12 at the top and
number 6 at the bottom and the number 3 and 9 at the correct place. And the, paste the
numbers 1 , 2 4 , 5 , 7 , 8 , 10 and 11. Cut out the two arrows. Make a small hole in the
centre of the plate to insert the fastener which will hold the hands in place.
Paste the teddy bear template on a construction paper. Cut out the head, arms and leg.
Glue them on the plate to create the teddy bear. The plate represents the teddy bear’s

model that you built to explain the relation.

(10 minutes)
Understand
hours and
minutes
Introduce a number line which contains the
numerals one through twelve. Bend the number
line into a circle to resemble a clock face. Show
a chart with a large circle. Ask the students to
place the numerals inside the circle to make a
clock face. According to the ability of the
group, may wish to place some marks on the
circle to facilitate spacing of the numbers.
Review that the minute (long-blue) hand points
to the twelve, while the hour (short-red) hand
indicates the hour.

his/her group. The group also must says again
the time uses bear voice because they are

Play “Time Tic-
Tac-Toe”
Prepare a blank tic-tac-toe grids on the white
board. Choose two pupils from the winning
group to came forward and Display a clock
showing a time. If the student has that time
written on his/her game board, he/she may
cover it with a marker. The first person to
complete a row horizontally, vertically or
diagonally wins.
REFLECTION:
Pupils enjoy in the class. They answer the worksheet given correctly. 100% of the pupils
are able to read the time in hours and minutes according to the 12-hours system.
