ABSTRACT
This paper study the influence of ECU parameters on the functional optimization of aCI engine fuelled with biofuels blend by computer simulation.
For this was implemented a ECU element with fuel injection control by loading theinput maps on each drive channel in a Boost model with iRATE law.
By computer simulations was studying the optimization of fuel injection by ECUparameters for same results of the combustion process for each type of biofuel used.
Engine performance was evaluated based on the quantity of heat released resultsfrom the combustion process in the cylinder.
To increase the heat released was modified from ECU parameters the fuel injectedand increasing the biofuel quantity by enlarging the injection time.

Engine 5402 is a four stroke engine withCommon Rail injection and three injectionsper cycle (pilot, main and post injection).
The injection management system is AVLRPEMS (Rapid Prototype ElectronicManagement System) with ETAS ETK 7.1.
ECU parameters can be modified viasoftware INCA-PC and allows full access tothe injection parameters:- start of injection SOI;- duration of injection DOI;- pressure in the common rail PRAIL.
Note: This engine is integrated in testbed laboratoryTestEcoCel of Technical University, Cluj-Napoca, RO.
