يقوم المختبر بفحص وإختبارات سالمة االلعاب والتى تغطي متطلبات السالمة في األلعاب حسب المواصفات القياسية المعتمدة )SASO وGSO EN 71 و EN 71(، وهذه المواصفات تطبق على األلعاب المنتجة او المصممة إلستخدام األطفال أقل من 18 عام. ويقوم المختبر بتقديم خدمات الفحص المحايد والفعال والمناسب من حيث التكلفة وتشمل خدمات المختبر :

الفحص الميكانيكي والفيزيائي المواصفات تهدف إلى التحديد والتحقق من المخاطر المحتملة خالل االستخدامات المتوقعة وتعدد وإساءة استعمال ألعاب األطفال، و المخاطر التي ال تظهر للمستخدمين. وفيما يلي

و الذي يهدف إلى معالجة المخاطر المرتبطة بالحواف الحادة في ألعاب األطفال. الحافة الحادة 8

و الذي يتناول الكرات القادرة على الدخول والحشر في المجاري الهوائية في الجزء الخلفي من الفم و العلوي من الحلق. الكرات الصغيرة 10

Flammability testThe standard specifies the categories of flammable materials which are prohibited in all

toys, and requirements concerning flammability of certain toys when they are subjected to

a small source of ignition. It is intended to reduce burn injuries associated with children

being in intimate contact with certain types of toys.

The standard focuses on the following toys which are considered as being those presenting

the greatest hazards wherein the test method based either on the rate of spread of flame or

duration of flaming :

a. Toys to be worn on the head

b. Toy disguise costumes and toys intended to be worn by a child in play

c. Toys intended to be entered by a child

Physical and Mechanical TestThe standard aims to determine and investigate the possible hazards during

foreseeable use and abuse tests on toys which are not evident to the users.

The following are some of the physical and mechanical test :
