3G and Mobile Gaming
• The entire mobile ecosystem eagerly awaits the implementation of 3G and the promise of better, faster network.
• For the Mobile gaming industry 3G spells two main offerings :• High data transfer rates • Larger band width
Both of which are basic requirements for downloading and accessing Quality games [heavier files].
• Post 3G a user can expect to download games faster and without any interruptions
• At the other end 3G would also generate a renewed interest amongst developer community to develop games which are more engaging and provides better gaming experience to the users.
• For the device manufacturers, to keep up, it would mean introducing devices with higher processing speeds, larger screens, audio and memory.
• With 3G, we expect not just the increase in the number of users but also a significant increase in the time total spent per user on mobile gaming.
