11The song has very touching meaning behind it. "It was so many mixed emotions during that time because we actually lost everything we owned. We actually lost a house that we built with our own hands." The House That Built Me is a song which I believe most would like to experience, if they had a good childhood.

The song has very touching meaning behind it as the Lamberts would say. "It's like the persons that wrote that song were channeling into our lives at that horrible but great time in our lives," Rick Lambert, 58, said."It was so many mixed emotions during that time because we actually lost everything we owned. We actually lost a house that we built with our own hands." (#2 Today)The House That Built Me is a song which I believe most would like to experience, if they had a good childhood. To go back to the place you grew up and experience the memories, and remember what it looked like compared to where it has grown to what the house is today. It is those memories within that house that made her who she is today, and we all may experience the same thing if we were to go back into the house that we grew up in, the house that built who we are today.

The House That Built MeProduced By: Frank Liddell and Mike WruckePerformed By: Miranda Lambert

0:00 Intro0:20 Verse 11:18 Chorus1:46 Verse 2

2:10 Chorus2:48 Verse 33:03 Chorus3:38 End.

0:00 IntroTo start off the beginning of the song the only thing playing is a melody of a soft and even tone, which then begins an increased and decreased rhythm. The song begins as a solo with acoustic harmony played on strings, an acoustic guitar.0:20 Verse 1This is where the vocals enter the song along with the acoustic guitar, which is being played by the performer Miranda Lambert. The dynamics remain at a low pitch throughout the verse. As the verse continues the more introduction of other instruments enter just as the chorus begins. There is a slight pause with vocals and the instruments play at a decreased tone.1:18 ChorusThe temp and dynamics begin to increase in both instruments and vocals drastically following the first verse. The melody has a steady, but slight increase and decrease in the harmony. The vocals in this section sound as if the performer is using a pitch that is much higher than the rest of the vocals, but they stay consistent, and towards the end of the chorus the volume decreases back to the same as the first verse. There is a background singer in this section, at the end of the chorus, but it is at a very low pitch, that it is almost impossible to hear the other voice accenting the main performer.1:46 Verse 2The vocals remain at the same rhythm as the first verse. The beat with the band remains with the same form, but adding more strings.2:10 ChorusRepetition.2:48 Verse 3In this verse the increase in vocals is much higher than the previous verses played. The tone is closer related to the chorus. This is the verse that is will be closing just before the chorus, which is the reason for the difference in dynamics than were played previously. The texture is easy to hear, preparing for the final part of the song.3:03 ChorusRepetition3:38 EndIn closing of the song, the instruments continue to play the same harmony as they have throughout the song. They play for about twenty seconds before it all comes to an end and you hear silence.19Famous In A Small TownWritten By: Travis HowardPerformed By: Miranda Lambert

0:00 Intro0:08 Verse 11:01 Chorus1:30 Verse 2

1:55 Chorus2:24 Verse 33:05 Chorus3:40 End

0:00 IntroString guitar is played as form is kept consistent with balance and repetition. From listening to the intro, I believe the only instrument playing is an acoustic guitar, which is played by the performer herself, Miranda Lambert.0:08 Verse 1The vocals then enter with the instrument, they are played in a very rhythmic duple meter. Just the vocals and acoustic guitar continue, and then another beat enters. The vocals come to a stop as the band enters playing timbre dynamics, where vocals are then harmonized into the band playing.1:01 ChorusThe speed of the song increases and the band all plays during this time. The rhythm is very different as the intro and verse, the speed is increased drastically. The vocals harmonize in more sections, but remain at an increased speed.1:30 Verse 2This verse returns to the same form as the first verse. But, as the vocals play you can hear the drum keeping a single beat throughout the performers harmony. The harmony in this verse is very short until the end, just before the chorus begins.1:55 ChorusRepetition.2:24 Verse 3In the final verse, the harmony carries in notes which are longer in the beginning. After the harmonizing, the rhythm returns back to the same beat as it was in the beginning of the song. The rhythm remains the same with the drums, keeping the single beat. There is a pause with instruments and only vocals are sung, the instruments then begin to slowly re-enter into the verse.3:05 ChorusRepetition. The difference in the final chorus is at the end the very last line of the chorus is repeated and a harmonica begins to fade into the song which increases in the end.3:40 EndAll instruments decrease and a harmonica enters and plays a solo. The band then enters again as the harmonica is still being played. The form is played the same, just with added timbre. There is one final beat with all instruments and then all the sound fades into silence, ending the song.

0:00 Intro0:19 Verse 10:42 Chorus0:49 Verse 21:11 Chorus1:19 Fill

1:38 Verse 32:01 Chorus2:08 Verse 42:30 Chorus2:43 End

0:00 IntroIn this song, there is a strong and increased tone introduction of strings being played. Just an electric guitar is played which shortly the drums enter adding another beat. The quadruple simple meter holds a form of repetition. The song starts out with more of a rock sound to it, more rock than country. This starts out being an aggressive country song.0:19 Verse 1The harmony begins in the song which is being used in a very strong tone. The harmony is very consistent in this verse. The texture of the instruments keeps their form as the melody is heard.0:42 ChorusThe chorus in this song is very short with vocals. In the end of the vocals there is a female background singer supporting the strength and emphasis to the chorus. It stands out because it accents the lead singers vocals. The form remains the same as the beginning of the song.0:49 Verse 2The form returns to the same as it was in the first verse. There is more harmony in this section, it is not consistent with tone, and there is more variety in the tone of the vocals in this verse.1:11 ChorusRepetition.1:19 FillA harmonica enters and plays at an increased volume while the rest of the band continues to play their consistent form. The harmonica is the emphasis in this section of the song. The electric guitar has some emphasis also while the harmonica plays. Those two instruments have the dynamics of this fill.1:38 Verse 3Melody begin resuming the same beat as the previous verses. The form remains within the same rhythm. The beat of the verses are all very similar, almost identical. In this part of the verse is when the backup singer enters harmony in the verse, where before you only heard the backup singer in the chorus.2:01 ChorusRepetition.2:08 Verse 4There is an increase with the beat of the band. There is more added strength, which with the speed of the rhythm of this song makes it sound even more aggressive, and another beat added in this section. Again, in this verse the female backup singer supports the harmony of the verse.2:30 ChorusRepetition. In the final chorus there is a break with instruments played only and then a repeat of the chorus again.2:43 EndThe harmony has ended at this time and only the band is playing the form of the song. The harmonica again is a strong point in this section. They do not play very man beats before the song fades out into silence bringing the song to an end.

21Heart Like MineProduced By: Frank Liddell and Mike WruckePerformed By: Miranda Lambert0:00 Intro0:13 Verse 10:46 Chorus1:05 Verse 21:20 Chorus1:35 Fill1:45 Bridge2:05 Verse 32:18 Chorus2:41 End

0:00 IntroThe band begins playing, mainly you can hear strings, to introduce the song. The guitar is a very strong instrument played in Mirandas music, which is played by her. The drums are easy to hear in this section also, the band is all played together, the strings and keyboard holding the strong point. The keyboard enters with a strong note in this section also, just before the verse begins.0:13 Verse 1The tone in vocals begins at a decreased note, increasing as the vocals are sung. The rhythm is very consistent with the harmony and the beat remains consistent with the vocals. The beginning of each melody carries almost in a harmonized way. There is a break in vocals as the band continues the rhythm. Every first note in the verse has a carried harmony which leads into a short harmony.0:46 ChorusThe harmony changes in the chorus. There is more of a carrying within the note, where in the verse it is more like an even tone almost as if you were speaking to somebody. The notes do not carry in length as they do on the chorus. The instruments carry the form, but as they are all played together the timbre is a strong point.1:05 Verse 2Vocals remain the same as in the first verse; the melody and rhythm are consistent with the first verse. This verse is short compared to the first playing quadruple simple meter. The dynamics of the melody are played at a pitch of increase and decreased tone.1:20 ChorusRepetition.1:35 FillThe electric guitar plays at an increased volume as the rest of the band continues with the rhythm that has played throughout the song. When you listen to this part, it is almost as if the electric guitar is playing a solo, with support of the band continuing to play.1:45 BridgeThe melody enters and is performed in harmony, which are carried on as a longer note, longer than played in the chorus. The band remains with consistent form.2:05 Verse 3When this verse begins the band continues to play, but they fade out as the vocals are performed, the main instruments you hear is the same as in the introduction of this song. They increase as the verse goes on, but beginning there is more of a fade and then re-enter. The harmony does not carry in this part of the verse, it is very short melody.2:18 ChorusRepetition.2:41 EndThe band closes the song with dynamics form. There is one vocal part that has the harmony of a carried note and then a short note as the band plays. There is a triple beat at the end and the instruments then fade out into silence ending the song.
