Looking for taking awareness about Millennium Development Goalsto high school students, the Project brings students from different countries todiscuss the issues and to think about solutions to the world biggest problems.Trough lectures and workshops the interns will take the MillenniumDevelopment Goals linked with the current context to students so they canreflect about it.

The interns will do researches about the goals, their objectives,contexts and actions. Throughout the collected information they will do amaterial that can be used at the presentations and as a reference material.The project is included at the national portfolio of Global Citizen EducationalProject of Brazil!

Created at 2000 by UN, the goals were made from ananalysis of the world biggest problems. They are 8 objectives thatbring a series of concrete commitments that must beaccomplished at 2015 in order to improve the humanity destinesthis century. In Brazil the Millennium Goals are know as 8 ways tochange the world.

Concretes and measurable, the 8 objectives, with 22goals and 48 indicators, can be tracked by every people in anycountry. So that the commitments could be accomplished, thepopulation and its leaders must collaborate. Besides that, thegoals can be used as an example and lever to the search of newsolutions related to each society potential and conditions.

The Project claims to create on the students the conscience thatthey are future leaders of the world, so they are the ones that can changethe world, so they are ambassadors of the Millennium Development Goals.

Department the inter will be working: Public School , 6th to 9th

grade.

Job Description 1: The intern will work in groups with other trainees todevelop and prepare sessions for the students about the MillenniumDevelopment Goals (MDGs) and how they are connect with our daily life.

Job Description 2: The intern will deliver trainings on the MDGs to thestudents in order for them to understand the importance of taking anactive role in the pursuit of the MDGs.

Job Description 3: The intern will facilitate several professional trainings onfacilitation, creativity, etc in order to empower the students to deliver theproject, since they are going to be MDGs ambassadors.

Job Description 4: The trainee must apply a composition to the students atthe end of the project, so we can check how much the kids learned aboutthe topics given in the workshops, and use it as a report to realize otherrounds.

Project In Project In ChapecóChapecóWith 16 vacancies, the project will run through a partnership with the

City Hall of Chapecó in conjunction with the project "Mais Educação" (More Education). The project will happen in four schools. The working hours are after/before school. The exchanges students will be divided into groups of 4 people for each school.
