Methodology for the evaluation of 3D surface topography in multiple indentation process-C.Bernal A.M.Camacho-M.M,MartinJulin Granados Diego Bonilla INTRODUCTIONIncremental forming processes can be carried out in CNC machines with more flexibility, lower force requirements and simpler tools than in conventional forging processes.Standard ISO 4287(GPS)Technological-geometrical parameters

Influence of tool geometry in the indentation processIn order to know the behaviour of the different tools, an elementary indentation process has been simulated with the finite element code deform.Three types of punches have been analysed as follows a) hemispherical punch b) fillet end tool c) spherical end punch. The material UNS A91100,which is commercially pure aluminium with excellent forming characteristics,is used as a material reference.Evalutation model of the expected surface
