They have over 30 years of experience with this so they are proud to admit they are leaders in the industry. You might find it fun to note that the chief engineer advisor Nevin Jenkins was one who helped coin the famous line, “Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” The executive team is listed on the website with short bios for each. This is a nice touch since you can get to know a little about the men and women behind the scenes. They have had some television spotlights and seem to know what they are doing in the medical alert field.

Things to Consider

•  With the MediPendant you don’t need to worry about being near a base station to communicate that you need help; you can speak directly into the pendant.

•  Installation is as easy as plugging in the power and the phone jack.

•  Li123 battery is used in the pendant and can be purchased at local hardware stores.

Refund and Return Policies

If the equipment malfunctions, MediPendant will replace it for free. If it is damaged or lost and needs to be replaced, as long as you are still being monitored by MediPendant, they will also replace it for free. While you are being monitored, your equipment has a lifetime warranty. We were also told that if you return the equipment and cancel monitoring during your contract that you can get a refund for whatever is left on your contract.

The Good

Summary  

This system seems just like many others, but the thing we like most is the way the pendant can be used for two way communication. The system seems a bit basic compared to others we have looked at, and customer service was adequate. The pricing is very competitive with other companies we have reviewed, though we aren’t fond of contracts. However, we were told that if you cancel within the time frame of a contract, you will get refunded all months you paid for but did not use during your contract.
