www.Media-Allstars.com Mid-Season Report Budd’s Creek- MD, Sunset Ridge- IL, & Steel City, PA Atlanta, GA (May 27, 2011) The past six weeks have been a whirlwind of activity that has seen the team travel to some of the most famous MX tracks in the USA, as well as endure some of the craziest (and devastating) weather that Mother Nature has ever conjured up. We’re just past the halfway point on the season, and we’re leading, and in contention for just about all of the classes we’re entered in. We’re lucky in that we’ve got multiple riders in just about every A, B, or C Class, and they’re all running towards the front of the points chase. The team has really come together over the last few rounds, and for a zero budget operation, we’re easily the best looking unit at the races these days outside of the Can Am Factory Team. Round Four took place at the Historic Budd’s Creek MX track in Maryland, unfortunately, the track also hosted the first Monsoon of the year. To say the weather was miserable would be an understatement. The team opted to forego set up of our “fancy” pits, instead opting for a “survival mode” approach. Survival was actually the theme of the weekend for several Team members as hard crashes, and mechanical problems conspired to wreak havoc on more than one points chase. The low light/ highlight of the weekend revolved around the McGraw trailer as both Austin & Jake had horrible luck yet toughed out great finishes. Austin took a dirt nap, an ambulance ride, and two Hospital visits on Saturday, yet crutched himself onto his machine for his second Motos on Sunday in order to cling to his points lead. There’s an overused cliche about winning Championships on your bad weekends as opposed to your good ones, and the McGraws certainly proved to the team that they want this season to end with #1 Plates. As a whole the team did pretty well on the track as the crashes by Cody Kimberlin, Dylan Tremellan, and Austin, and the mechanical problems of Chase Cunningham, and Jake were offset by strong rides by Nick Lepkoske, Ryan Wheeler, and the Holley Brothers. Round Five saw the guys travel to Walnut, Illinois for slightly better weather, and luck. Dylan Tremellan killed it for us all weekend by taking two Moto Wins in the 4 stroke B Class, as well as a third Overall in the 16-24 Class. Chase Cunningham took the +25 Class Overall Win via 2-1 Moto finishes. Jake McGraw took a 4 Stroke A Moto Win, Ryan Wheeler took a 450 B Moto Win as well as second Overall for the weekend, while Calen McGinty took third overall in Open B. The team was pretty solid once again with a sustained and relentless attack on the Podium, and a pit presence that is second to none. Round Six took place at the challenging Steel City MX track in Delmont, PA where the team was greeted by a wet track once again. Luckily, the bad weather was just about done before we got there, but the pits were a muddy mess. Dylan was once again out front for us all weekend taking the Overall Win in the 4 Stroke B class by going 1-1 on the weekend, and taking second overall in the 16-24 class. Nick lepkoske took an Overall Win in the Open C class, as well as Second Place Overall finishes in both the production C, and 450 C Classes. Austin McGraw, Jake McGraw, and Cody Kimberlin all made their way onto the Podium in their respective classes, while Calen McGinty finished just shy by finishing fourth and fifth in his classes. Chase Cunningham once again battled OEM Suzuki Parts Gremlins all weekend which relegated him to riding borrowed machines, yet he still managed a 2nd overall, and 3rd overall on the weekend. The rest of the team pulled their weight, and continues to work towards the points lead in various classes. As a whole, it was a great weekend. We’ve just passed the halfway point, and things look pretty damn good for the Lonestar Racing, Morehead Motorsports, Media Allstars. The next stop of the tour will be Millville, MN but most of our guys will be using it as a throw out as gas prices are through the roof. These kids are killing themselves to represent you guys, and their parents are doing the same just to get them to the races, so if you’ve got Tee Shirts, schwag, or anything else you can spare to send these kids it’ll be greatly appreciated. I can promise you that the appreciation of twenty Supercrossers combined would pale in comparison to any one of these amateurs. Please take a look around, and scrounge something up to help boost morale. Thanks again for your support. Atlanta, GA (May 27, 2011) The past six weeks have been a whirlwind of activity that has seen the team travel to some of the most famous MX tracks in the USA, as well as endure some of the craziest (and devastating) weather that Mother Nature has ever conjured up.
