Pensky-Martens Flash Point Tester: PMA 5

The automatic closed cup flash point tester PMA 5 detects the flash point at the lowest temperature corrected to a barometric pressure of 101.3 kPa at which application of an ignition source causes the vapors of a specimen of a sample to ignite under specified conditions of test.Suitable for biodiesel (FAME) & blends, distillate fuels (diesel, kerosine, heating oil, turbine fuels), lubricating oils and other homogeneous petroleum liquids.

PMA 4 SC is an exceptionally time and cost saving alternative. The PMA 4 with sample changer carrousel can carrying up to 12 test cups.The instrument is equipped with a fire extinguishing system. It is still small enough to fit into a fume-hood.

The automatic PetroOxy initiates a very fast artificial aging process to evaluate the oxidation stability of liquid fuels (gasoline, diesel, biodiesel/FAME & blends). Rapid Small Scale Oxidation Test (RSSOT): PetroOxy Steel

The automatic PetroOxy with stainless steel chamber initiates a very fast artificial aging process to evaluate the oxidation stability of natural oils/fats, food & cosmetics and water containing products. The PetroOxy is cost saving due to a massive reduction of test time, improved repeatability and small sample volumen.The PetroOxy requires manual re-cooling between tests by an externally chilled cooling block.While the PetroOxy Active Cool with Peltier elements will re-cool automatically. Especially recommended for low boiling liquids.

Oxidation Stability of Gasoline and Aviation Fuels: OBA 1

The semi-automatic OBA 1 is used for fuels to determine the stability (induction period) and the tendency to form gum (potential residue) under accelerated oxidation conditions. Programmable PA 5-OBA manometers on stainless steel oxidation vessels are available in combination with a liquid bath as OBA 1 or as OBA 1/T with a dry heat bath.
