LeWeb is ready to take off! At 3571 social media mentions for the past 48 hours, things are just about getting started. This is a clear increase in the data for Monday as people make their preparations, and a significant dip in post volumes over lunchtime. Take at as a hint: when in Paris for LeWeb, you should not tweet with your mouth full!

The Media Type Analysis leaves no room for doubt: Twitter dominates LeWeb, or at least the location of its conversations. Given the number of contests for tickets and goodies that use hashtags as their centrepiece, this should be no surprise.

Sentiment Analysis

Positive

Between the speakers, keynotes, location, Social Business Track, LeWeb record and various parties taking place in the fringes, there is much to be excited about, an it shows in the data. Over 90% of all sentiment for these conversations is marked as positive. Even the upcoming taxi strike cannot put a dent in this, and the attendance of certain tech-celebrities such as Marissa Meyers, certainly sparks some creativity. There are some conversations which appear negatively, such as the article on CNN which appeared after the London LeWeb edition and is circulated again.

Conversation Cloud

LeWeb gathers some of the world’s greatest marketers in a single space, and they certainly do get their message across. At this point, the usual suspects dominate the social media conversations, but it will be fascinating to see whether that changes in the Parisian morning light.

The upcoming Badoo party continues to inspire conversations, especially by those who are dying to attend. Curiously, these social media exchanges seem much more active over the weekend than the general LeWeb discussions. Looking forward to seeing the online traffic on the night itself!
