Department is offering testing and consultancy services to different government, semi

government and private organizations. The areas include testing of building materials such as

cement, Aggregates, water, Bitumen, Steel, Mortar, Concrete and so on.

Consultancy activities include, concrete mix design, water tank design verification, Third

party technical Audit etc.

Civil Engineering Department has undertaken Third party technical audit of different civil engineering

works under the purview of District Collector, Satara. These works are carried out in different talukas

of Satara district and are coming under different departments. This has given a different identity to

the department & hence to the institution.

Also, a MOU has been signed with GMGC, Pune. Through this MOU, the department is offering

technical Knowhow for preparation of Bituminous Roads using plastic as a waste material. A couple

of projects have already been executed as per this MOU.
