Group Discussions: (MBA 2016-17Batch)
GD Session – Guidelines
1. Faculty will announce the process of conducting the GD Session. 2. Any one student from the Group can come and pick a slip from the bowl having various topics
written on slip(these topics have been emailed to students). The evaluation parameters are have also been explained in the classes.
3. The faculty will read the topic and tear off the slip and strike the topic from the list of topics (the topic will no longer be available for subsequent GD sessions)
4. The students will be given two(2) minutes for thinking (jotting down the points on paper) and 20 minutes for discussion.
5. After (2) minute the Faculty will announce to "Start",the group discussion. 6. The topic must discuss among the group members only, the faculty will only observe &coordinate. 7. The faculty can intervene "stop" and "resume" if the discussion found to be like a fish market. 8. All students must participate and if one or more students are not participating, faculty can ask
those students to give their view point’s individually only after 12 minutes of GD session. The GD session to resume after that.
9. The faculty will ask the group to summaries the group discussion. Any one student can take initiative to summarize.
10. Faculty will announce the close of session exactly after 20 minutes 11. Faculty will provide individual feedback and suggestion(s) after the session is over. 12. The evaluation sheets will be analyzed and counseling of students scored <50% marks will be
scheduled to improve for the next GD session.
