The dashboard allows you to view campaigns, lists, reports, and Auto-Responders.

Regular Ol’ Campaigns let you use (and design) templates, as well as use the drag and dropeditor. Plain text campaigns remain the most compatible, as there are rarely (if ever)any issues in terms of legibility on any email client or hardware (tablets, phones, etc)

You can use separate lists depending on your marketing goals. For example, prospects vs.

Sender details (visible by the recipient) are commonly ‘A/B split-tested’ by marketers. The goals for these values are to maximise Open Rates

In order of ease of use, the Drag & Drop Editor is easiest for those starting out. The basic and predesigned templates can be customised if you need inspiration.

For the rest, you’ll need some coding know-how.

Design Phase

To start off with the Drag & Drop Editor, select Basic Templates

Drag & Drop (Part 1)

In our example, the 1 Column layout was selected – but try out the others, as they are all just as easy to customise and use.

Drag & Drop (Part 2)

Once you’ve selected your template, the Content tab lets you add images, text boxes, and even containers to align your text next to images by dragging and dropping.

Here’s an example of the Greenlight ITC newsletter created using the Drag & Drop Editor.

Drag & Drop (Part 4)

This part of the Campaign setup allows you to double-check what recipients with text-only email will see when they open your emails. Make sure to always click ‘Copy Text From HTML Email’ as MailChimp often does not update this

automatically.

Once you’ve set up and designed your campaign, you’re all ready to go! MailChimp presents

you with a summary prior to sending, just in case you missed anything. Then, it’s just a matter of hitting Send Now or Schedule.
