The first icon with the face is called the Finder. Click on this button to see the window below.

The Finder Window shows all the files and applications on the computer. By clicking on the labels in the left sidebar, you can see the contents of that area.

By clicking on these buttons, you can change how the files appear in the window.

3. Open up Safari . An IBoss filter window may show up if the computer has not been connected for a while.

4. Log in to IBoss with the same username and password for step #2.

After continue is clicked, another window will open. This window must be kept open to stay connected to the internet!

Please Note: • Once logged in, students will have access to their GMail account and Google Apps.

• 9-10th Grade students can send to and receive emails from any email address.

• All internet activity is filtered and monitored through the Perrysburg Schools Internet filtering system on and off campus. Streaming video and audio and all social media are blocked during school hours.

Across the top of the Desktop is a Menu Bar

One of the Menus is call the Apple menu. When you click on the , a drop down menu appears.

This is where you would restart, shut down or log out.

In the upper right hand corner, are more icons

Click on the Wireless Symbol to reveal settings for Wireless access.

By clicking on the Network Preferences, you can connect to your home wireless or a wireless system at a restaurant or library.

When you click on Open Network Preferences, the window below will appear.

When you click on this box, you will have see available networks. You can then select the network by highlighting it. If the network has a lock next to the wireless symbol , then you will be asked for a password.

How do I get onto my home wireless?

Once you have a Wi-Fi network available, use these steps to tell your Mac to join it:

1. Click the Wi-Fi menu icon �  and select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.

2. If prompted, enter the password for your Wi-Fi network.3. Check "Remember this network" to have your Mac automatically join your

home network. Connect at homeYour Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be the same as your cable TV company or your phone company. It may also be a different company that offers Internet services, usually for a monthly fee.

Your ISP may offer wired Internet access, using an Ethernet cable that connects to your computer or a network router/modem. Or, it may offer Wi-Fi (wireless) Internet access through its own hardware. If you're not sure if your Internet connection is wired or wireless, check with your ISP.

What does my child do if the MacBook Air is in need of repair?If you have an issue with your MacBook Air, please take it to the library.  Either the librarian or a tech team member will evaluate it and most likely give you a loaner until yours can be fixed.  If there is a charge, your will be billed for the repair.
