At LMC we try to o�er a varied program of courses. We run courses all year round at di�erent levels. If you can’t see the course you want, contact us and we will try to accommodate your requests. If you have further questions please refer to our website www.meridiancollege.co.uk for more detailed information or email [email protected] (please allow 2 working days to deal with your enquiry)

All these levels are available at LMC. Some levels are available only at certain times. If you know your level you may check in advance if that level is available at the time of your choice. Up to FCE each level takes about 14 weeks to complete. From FCE onwards this can takelonger depending on your commitment and e�ort outside school hours.

LMC does pre-testing for both Trinity and Cambridge exams and has a dedicated IELTS preparation course. Please note that exam dates for Cambridge may vary every year.

LMC has developed a programme of workshops to help improve speci�c skills over and above the General English classes that are run. They are often exam orientated, focusing on exam techniques or sometimes more general and looking at a particular skill.Samples include:Writing Skills - CV Writing

Accommodation Di�erent Types of Accommodation

Di�erent Types of Room

In addition to providing you with a course, we can also assist you with accommodation during your studies.

Host Family Stay with a host family and discover local culture. Practise your english skills outside the classroom. You can choose between B&B, Half Board and Full Board accommodation

A Student house is suitable for the more independent student. The houses are self catering and facilities are shared among approximately 6 students.

Student House

This accommodation is available only during the summer. The halls provide single rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Halls of Residence

You are the only person staying in the room and it contains a single bedSingle Room

Triple Room

Double Room

A twin room contains two single beds and you share with another person

A double room contains one large double bed. This room is suitable for a couple or someone who prefers to stay in a larger room. Please note if booked by 2 people, twin room rates apply

A triple room contains one large double bed and a single bed or 3 single beds. This room can only be booked only if 3 people are travelling together.

Booking Procedure

LMC uses an external accommodation agency to deal with our student accommodation. Once you have decided what accommodation you wish to book you will need to send us an application form

If you are a visa national and require an address for your visa application, we will provide you with a provisional address. After you have received your visa your bookingwill be passed to the external agency, SimpleStudy. The agency will then issue you with the address. Please remember that they require 2 weeks notice to meet your accommodation requirements. If you cannot provide 2 weeks notice prior to your arrival they will notify you what options they have available for you to choose. If you are provided cheaper accommodation the di�erence will be refunded to you. You may have to pay extra if only more expensive accommodation is available or choose to wait for 2 weeks before your requested accommodation becomes available. If you are not a visa national and do not require a visa to enter UK, your request will be passed to SimpleStudy upon the receipt of payment. Simplestudy will then proceed to book your accommodation and will send you your address to the email you have given us. 2 weeks notice is also required as above.

Accommodation can be cancelled - however at least 2 week's notice prior to the start date needs to be given. If a visa was issued, accommodation cannot be cancelled.

Once your booking has been passed to Simple Study you will need to contact Simple Study Directly.

Choosing the Right ProgrammeEU students may choose any course. However, if you are a non EU citizen you must study a full-time minimum 15 contact hours per week. We have 7 levels available (FROM ELEMENTARY UPWARDS) but not all levels are available at all times of study. You may request to change your study-time after arrival or during your course, however, admin charges or extra course fees may apply.ApplyingThe enrolment form can be found on the website or attached to the email you received.Please �ll the form in capital letters and ensure all �elds are completed. Email ([email protected] ) or fax (+442079006441) the enrolment form together with a copy of your passport.If we need further documents we will email you a request with the type of documents you need to provide.Receiving Invoice and Making PaymentOnce we have received the enrolment form we will issue an invoice for your chosen course and where applicable accommodation.If you are satis�ed with the invoice you can make payment for your course. This can be done either by bank transfer, credit card, cheque or cash. All payment details can be found on your invoice. Once we have received payment you will receive a con�rmation of acceptance for studies. This can be in the form of a letter (for EU students or Student Visitors) or a unique CAS number (for TIER4 Visa students).
