2. The reason why I choose that city isbecause i have beenthere duringoneweek with the school and ifeelinlove of it. It isthe perfect cityto relax and discover new interesting things. 3. Location Liubliana is the capital and the biggest city of Slovenia. It is a member of the European Union. Borders Italy to the west, the Adriatic Sea on the southwest, Croatia to the south and east, Hungary to the northeast, and Austria to the north 4. Habitants Liubliana has 270,828 people spread across an area of 275 km . All of them have been very nice with us and everybody get onn well with all of us. 5. Climate The climate is Mediterranean on the coast, Alpine in the mountains and continental with mild to hot and winters in the plateaus and valleys of eastern DRC summers. The average temperature is -2 C in January and 21 C in July. Compared to other countries in the region, in Slovenia there is not much wind, and it is surrounded by the Alps. 6. History Legend has it that Jason and his Argonauts came to Ljubljana up the river and there killed a dragon after a bloody struggle. The fantastic animal right is the symbol of the capital of Slovenia, one of the most modern, quiet and clean cities in Europe 7. Main momuments The city has numerous museums and art galleries. Thus, in 2005, there were 15 museums and 41 art galleries. Among the museums are the National Museum, the Slovenian Museum of Natural History, the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, the National Museum of Contemporary History, the Museum of Sports, the Railway Museum, Museum of Ljubljana and the Museum of Architecture. Among the galleries include the Centre for Alternative Culture Metelkova, the International Centre of Graphic Arts, the Museum of Modern Art or the National Gallery. In 2005, the museums received 264,470 visitors and 403,890 Galleries 8. Liubliana Castle Ljubljana Castle is a medieval castle located at the summit of the hill overlooking the city center. The area around the current castle is inhabited since 1200. C., and it is likely that the hilltop was a strength of the Roman army. 9. Freetime: Makalonca Makalonca is a place that is next to the river Ljubljanica where you can go for a drink and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Slovenian town center, its main bridges and have a good time with friends. 10. Events In the summer months the International Summer Festival (Ljubljanski poletni festival) takes place, which dates back to 1953, with musical, theatrical and dance performances by national and international artists each year attract 80,000 visitors to the city, and summer in the Old Town, with live acts towards the streets and squares of the city. 11.
