Twenty-one years ago in August 1994, Marcelle and I became AIM Members and part of this unique family. Our adventurous journey has had its own twists and turns, each with its own challenges and rewards … and by His grace our journey continues!

We owe our involvement with AIM to our dear friends Louis and Gretchen Wilsenach. In 1992, Louis attended a conference in Hawaii where he met Doug and Linda Cozart who introduced him to AIM’s green barley powder. Louis arrived back in South Africa with a few bottles, and one of them was reserved for me! That one bottle was for us the beginning of a new adventure. It was like a seed that continued to reproduce! We sold as much as Gretchen could supply and the demand for the product grew rapidly as others in Johannesburg began importing and distributing the product. A while later on one of our mission trips, Louis said to me; “You need to import this product yourself and run with it!” I agreed … the right opportunity had come!

Everything fell unexpectedly into place in 1994 when we were invited to attend an AIM Conference in the USA. After the conference, we visited several South African friends scattered around the States, and we were able to stop over in Nampa on our way to Seattle. On August 17, we were met at the airport and taken on a tour of the AIM facilities by a charming Mary Czuz and left a few hours later as AIM Members, the first in the Wilsenach downline!

We arrived back in South Africa a few days later with four cases of AIM’s green barley powder (96 bottles) in addition to our luggage and got busy dispatching orders. Marcelle took care of the home office, sending out information and product to an ever-growing group of family and friends all around the country while I continued with ministry in the Mission Field. Week after week, we would import cases of green barley powder and the demand kept on growing. In 1996, AIM announced that they were opening an office in Johannesburg, bringing our import/retail operation to an end!

It was a major adjustment for us, and we were not sure how things would work out as our clients were scattered all over the country … but we knew that God would make a way.

AIM South Africa launched in 1996, and in November of that year a small group of South African Members attended the Leadership Conference in Las Colinas, Texas. As we arrived at the conference venue, a lady, whom I recognized as Dr. Mary Ruth Swope, walked up to me, introduced herself and said, “The Lord wants you to know that you are in the right place!” and with those reassuring words my mind was flooded with peace and a greatly treasured friendship was formed. As for our AIM business, I felt that the little seed that was planted was now securely settled and ready to grow!

Many such incidents continue to brighten our lives, and we continually give thanks to God for the wonderful friends He has added and continues to add to our AIM family! We are so proud of you and your achievements! Our sincere thanks and gratitude also to Dennis and Ron and the whole AIM family – you are all very special and we are blessed to be in partnership with you!

As we marvel at the amazing grace that has brought us to where we are today, the words from an Andrae Crouch song best describes our sentiments: “To God be the glory for the things He has done.”

now sells organic produce, vitamins as well as the AIM products in her store.

“We opened a café last September. I had always visualized an area where I could make juice and smoothies. We used wood from the trees we lost during Hurricane Katrina, cherry and pine. All the trim is from that wood. I like to think that I made something good from the sadness of Katrina.”

In her café, the buffalo and mushroom burgers are the top sellers. Among the AIM products, she sells more BarleyLife, Herbal Fiberblend® and Renewed Balance® than anything else. She herself takes two tablespoons of BarleyLife daily, more if she feels tired. She also uses Proancynol® 2000, Renewed Balance® and CellSparc 360® on a regular basis.

“When people come in with health issues, I tell them they need to look at their diets and to eat green foods loaded with enzymes like BarleyLife. I find the

greens give people more energy, and they feel their immune systems are stronger. With Renewed Balance, I’ll have husbands come in and thank me for helping their wives. I sell other creams, but Renewed Balance users won’t use anything else. I try not to run out.”

Now in her late seventies, Nancy is proud of achieving every goal that she’s set. As a lifelong hard worker, she doesn’t think that she’ll ever retire, but she hopes to take a few more vacations. She entered into the health and wellness field because she enjoyed helping people, getting them to improve their lifestyles, to exercise, to eat more vegetables, to cut back on processed foods and stress.

“I didn’t set out to be in the Chairman’s Club. I thought, ‘gee, that would be nice.’ But I had fun working towards that, sharing and seeing people’s health change. Getting a check for doing something you enjoy is a fantastic bonus. “

Nancy Fitzmorris Reaches AIM’s Million Dollar Club

Nancy Fitzmorris of Covington, Louisiana reached AIM’s Million Dollar Club in September 2015. Her journey started when she saw an ad on TV that talked about slowing down the aging process. She was thirty then and had heard that “it was all downhill after thirty.” She became a voracious reader on the subjects of health and fitness and began making positive lifestyle changes.

It was from her sister that she first learned of BarleyLife® back when it was still sold in a glass container with a red lid. Nancy was in the middle of researching green juices, but when she found BarleyLife, she began sharing it with others. She held numerous meetings, inviting AIM speakers whenever she could. Eventually, she opened a food co-op, and that turned into health food store called Springs of Life. She

With November designated as National Diabetes Awareness Month, North American statistics continue to indicate that this disease has risen to epidemic proportions. Around 90 percent of those affected have type 2 diabetes, diagnosed after testing for higher than normal blood sugar levels. Chronic high blood glucose means sugar continues to circulate throughout the body, causing widespread inflammation that can lead to damaged blood vessels, nerves and organs.

Since 2006, the United Nations General Assembly has viewed diabetes as “a chronic, debilitating and costly disease associated with major complications that pose severe risks for families, countries and the entire world.” It’s a disease to be seriously avoided. This can be achieved naturally through lifestyle changes that include exercise, weight management, a mostly plant-based diet and AIM Nutrition That Works!

GlucoChrom for Insulin SupportHave you had your blood glucose

levels tested recently only to be told they are on the rise? AIM GlucoChrom™ can help to reverse this. Four natural ingredients—chromium, vanadium, gymnema sylvestre and bitter melon—work as a team of nutrients that assists insulin, the hormone that channels sugar out of your blood and into your cells where it is stored for energy.

Chromium is the essential trace mineral that gives GlucoChrom its name and for a very good reason. Its presence is required for

insulin to effectively regulate blood glucose. Chromium deficiency is often associated with high blood sugar levels. Like all minerals, chromium cannot be produced by the body. You get it from dietary intake. Supplementing with GlucoChrom helps to ensure you get enough chromium to increase the effective action of insulin, regulating normal blood sugar levels. Vanadium, another trace mineral, is believed to have an insulin-enhancing effect on the body, promoting a healthy reduction of blood glucose.

Gymnema sylvestre stimulates insulin secretion and may regenerate pancreatic beta cells that make and release insulin. This leaf extract contains gymnemic acids that suppress the transport of glucose from the intestine into the blood for added control of glucose levels. Bitter melon contains a protein that binds to and activates the insulin receptor. This

fruit may have a role in the renewal of  insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas and/or in the recovery

of those partially destroyed. Putting gymnema sylvestre and bitter melon together in the GlucoChrom formula improves their effectiveness.

The insulin-supporting activities of these ingredients are just a few of the many benefits for the body. AIM recommends taking one GlucoChrom capsule thirty minutes

before a meal twice daily. Ideally, you can take it on an empty stomach with AIM BarleyLife® (more information on page 9).

AIM Group Builder

In 2014, I went to Jamaica for a one-month vacation, but ended up spending two because I lost my green card. During that time, a chikungunya vi-rus — also called CHIKV— epidemic broke out and spread like wildfire. The chikungunya virus is

trans mitted to people through mosquito bites. Mosquitoes become infected when they feed on a person already infected with the virus. The viral disease causes fever and severe joint pain that can last for years, and if someone in your household gets infected, the rest of the family usually gets infected also. Many children and adults die from this virus. The Jamaican government declared a state of emergency.

My experience with this disease started after I returned to the United States. After two weeks, I came down with a fever and lethargy and a great deal of pain in my left pinky finger. That’s where it all started. My appetite went as well. Then there was severe joint pain and vomiting. It was even hard to keep down liquids. I was in so much excruciating pain that I could not get out of bed.

I tried everything I could find to soothe my body: Vick’s vapor rub, rubbing alcohol and a few other remedies but nothing worked. My wife, Carol, suggested that I try the AIM Mag-nificence® magnesium products. I totally refused at first, but she insisted, so I gave it a try.

That night, I was able to sleep without the pain in my joints and the fever. In the morning, my pain was not as severe in my pinky and other

parts of my body. The fever was down, and I drank a large bottle of cherry drink plus Red Rush®. It felt good because I was so dehydrated, and I hadn’t been able to keep food down. I used Mag-nificence for another week and my joint pain began to diminish.

Apart from my weight loss, I was feeling pretty good, almost like before I contracted CHIKV. I stopped using the Mag-nificence and the Red Rush because I was going outdoors again and eating food. I was good for a week or so, but then the joints in my right pinky finger began acting up and my other fingers started to feel stiff, and then there was more pain.

This time, I used the Mag-nificence three times daily for two weeks straight, non-stop. I was good again within a week. I went to the doctor’s office to have my blood work done. The tests showed that I was 100 percent healthy without any complications.

I hope this testimony shows that the AIM products are the real deal, all-natural, ready to nourish each and every one of your cells. Before I was infected by this virus, I was in perfect health, so be careful and enjoy these foods because health is a gift from God. Thank God for my AIM family.

Healthy Again with the Help of AIM Products

Page 7: Living Well – November 2015

After my surgery, I went in full force with the AIM products. I used the Garden Trio, AIMega®, PrepZymes®, Herbal Fiberblend® and Bear Paw Garlic®. For about a year, I worked on making my body into what it should have been. I took cycle and spin classes five days a week. I lost about twenty-two pounds in a six-month period.

On Sept 12, 2014, a miracle had arrived. We were PREGNANT! It was almost beyond belief. Our dreams had finally come true. But the journey wasn’t over yet. I worried that a miscarriage could ruin what it took six years to conceive, so I focused on taking my AIM products on a regimented, everyday basis. During the whole nine months of being pregnant, I never skipped my normal AIM product routine.

Now we are blessed with a healthy baby girl by the name of Quinn Kennedy Celski who was born on May 15, 2015, the first grandchild of Bob and Sue Celski (AIM Directors). We are thankful for AIM and all that it has done to bring our little baby girl into this world healthy and

strong. We cannot thank you enough.

Testimonial

Shared by Brittney and David Celski (AIM Preferred Members)

AIM played a big role in making our dreams come true when it came to becoming parents. In terms of conceiving, our journey was one of a kind, yet not the easiest for any couple to deal with. David and I have been married for six years and have been trying to conceive since day one.

I was diagnosed with endo metriosis which led to both laparoscopy and appen-dectomy surgeries. This resulted in two blocked fallopian tubes. Our chances of conceiving naturally dropped significantly. We were beyond heartbroken. We held onto the faith that had helped and guided us throughout the years.

I decided to make health my number-one priority, leading me to become more serious about taking the AIM products. My father-in-law, AIM Director Bob Celski, was my biggest mentor through all this. Royal Emerald Direc-tor Opal Wright and Royal Emerald Director Karen Miller also gave me advice, reminding me that the day would come that I would be pregnant with my firstborn. They took the time to coach me and help me get my body back into good health.

Fiber vs Diabetes

In 2010, the number of Americans who suffered from diabetes was 26 million. Now health experts believe that number may be nearing thirty million. A whopping 86 million—that’s one third of the US population!—have a condition known as prediabetes, higher than normal blood sugar but not high enough to be classified as full-on type 2 diabetes. Prediabetics will likely develop diabetes if they do not make changes to their diet and exercise habits. The Centers for Disease Control predicts that one third of prediabetics or over 28 million people who don’t make healthy changes will develop type 2 diabetes within five years.

One simple, healthy change that a diabetic or prediabetic can make is to increase the amount of fiber in their diets. And yes, fiber is a carbohydrate and is usually included in a food’s total carbohydrate count. However, fiber does not add to blood sugar because fiber is not broken down by the body. Fiber has been shown to help people with diabetes because it slows the absorption of sugar thereby improving blood sugar levels.

Earlier this year, researchers in Europe examined information gleaned through the EPIC-InterAct, the world’s largest study of

type 2 diabetes that followed 350,000 people (12,000 diabetics in that group) for eleven years. They found that people who consumed more than 26 grams of fiber per day were 18 percent less likely to develop diabetes when compared to those who ate only 19 grams.

The researchers then compared the data from the Epic-InterAct with eighteen other large-scale studies

from all over the world. They found that for every 10 grams of fiber a person ate, his

or her risk of diabetes dropped by 9 percent.

Another factor to consider is fiber’s ability to improve satiety. The more fatty tissue a person has, the more resistant they become to insulin. Obesity is also one of the top risk factors of diabetes. Scientists at the University of Massachusetts Amherst found that people on a high-fiber diet were able to lose nearly as much weight as those on calorie-restricted diets. The high-fiber group lost 4.6 pounds after a year on average while those on the restrictive diet lost six pounds. The fiber diet has the distinct advantage of being simpler, more permissive and easier to maintain than a restrictive diet because it helps to reduce the temptation for unhealthy foods.

The AIM Companies provides two won-derful fiber choices in Herbal Fiberblend and fit ‘n fiber. Herbal Fiberblend has been one of our top-selling products for years and years and contains 5 grams of fiber per serving. fit ‘n fiber is great in a smoothie and adds 7 grams of fiber. The average person only gets 15 grams of fiber per day. Adding these two products to your diet, will ensure you get the healthy, daily fiber that you need.

With diabetes rising to epidemic proportions worldwide, effective ways

of treating this debilitating and often deadly disease are of international importance. Natural supplements rarely receive scientific attention; however, a type 2 diabetes study published in the International Journal of Green Pharmacy (2010)1 revealed that barley grass powder “holds promise to be used as a functional food to optimise the health of diabetic subjects.”

Researchers at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda  conducted the study using capsules of barley grass powder, produced specifically for their investigation. Over 80 percent of the type 2 diabetics in the test group were either overweight or obese, factors that are associated with the increased risk of developing diabetes. In fact, current thought suggests the cause of type 2 diabetes is a high-calorie diet rich in saturated fats—mainly from animal sources of food—that promote unhealthy weight gain and raise LDL (bad) cholesterol levels.

For two months, each individual in the test group took four capsules daily that provided 1.2 grams of barley grass powder. None of them took any other supplement

or pharmaceutical medication nor did the control group of diabetics who were not

taking the capsules. The results were impressive for the test group taking barley grass powder: significant lowering

of their glycated  hemoglobin and fasting blood sugar levels. Lowering blood sugar to healthy levels is the key

to reversing diabetes and its ravaging effects.

The study also showed the barley grass powder decreased the test subjects’ bad cholesterol and increased their good cholesterol, results that help to lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases, which Type 2 diabetics are prone to developing.

Try the daily addition of AIM BarleyLife®—powder or capsules—for a positive lifestyle adjustment to help lower high blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

AIM Member and Red Rush Athlete Diane Urban doesn’t have a lot of spare time on her hands. She’s not only a world-class athlete—a three-time NCAA

Division II discus champ who narrowly missed out on the ’84 Olympics as well as a CrossFit Games Master’s (50-54 division) athlete—she’s also the chief of police of Hayward, California. She trains five days a week, often skipping out on social events to get her training in. When she’s not training, she’s attending city council meetings, setting up the Hayward Police Department

CrossFit gym aka “Badges and Barbells,” or, if she’s lucky, spending a little quality time with her other half.

She says CrossFit helps her relax. That’s probably why she trains even while she’s on the road. One Thanksgiving break, she found herself in Idaho and needed a place to work out. She reviewed various CrossFit gyms online and sent an email to AIM Members Michaela and Frank Beauvais of Snake River CrossFit who responded immediately. There was instant chemistry.

“I heard about Red Rush from Frank when I was in Nampa with my family training right after qualifying for the Games this year. I was speaking to Frank about cardio and the challenges it presents during workouts, and we ended up chatting about Red Rush for a long time and all of its benefits. Frank and Michaela are the poster couple of fitness and ethics and if they recommend a product, you know it is based on a legitimate platform!”

In 2013, Diane had only dabbled in CrossFit but decided to compete in the NorCal Master’s CrossFit tournament. She placed fifth and fell in love with the sport. By 2015, she achieved her goal of qualifying for the CrossFit Games. She earned second place in her CrossFit Open division and then ninth in the Master’s Qualifying Round. She looked forward to the roar of the crowd and the challenges presented by facing the world’s top competitors. Unfortunately, Diane had to withdraw from the competition on the second day due to a work-related tragedy.

As a person with such a demanding and vital job, Diane had to do some soul-searching before deciding to

put the time and effort into a run at the 2016 CrossFit Games. She has to work constantly with trainers and coaches like Michaela Beauvais to stay at the top of her game, and her diet is just as important for maintaining peak performance.

“[I eat] a very typical CrossFit diet: meats and vegetables, a few seeds, little to no sugar. So, I don’t eat junk food. I have beets every single day. I like Red Rush because I’m a big believer in oxygenation of the blood. Red Rush gives me that extra breath of air when I need it most, especially on those long cardio killer CrossFit workouts and runs. I feel just as fatigued but my breathing seems a little easier, and I can go a little longer without the struggle. I really appreciate and love the product. I think it is so important to maintain ethics when you are supported/sponsored by a product … you need to ensure you and the product are a good fit for one another, and Red Rush is a fabulous fit for me! I am excited to represent Red Rush in my 2016 quest for the CrossFit Games!”
