This course is to provide a sound physical understanding of the principles of analytical chemistry and to show how these principles are applied in chemistry and related disciplines. To satisfy the goals of this course, the lecture will comprise three main section; those are, statistical treatment of data you are dealing with experiments and other related area during your undergraduate major course, chemical equilibrium that provides a foundation not only for chemical analysis but also for other areas of science and finally titration such as acid-base titration. Specifically, in statistical treatment, Gaussian distribution, confidence intervals, student t-test, Q-test with the help of excel program will be discussed. In chemical equilibrium, the equilibrium constant, solubility product, common ion effect, strength of acid-base etc. will be discussed. Finally, in titrations, various acid-base titrations, EDTA titration such as metal chelate complexes and EDTA titration techniques will be discussed.

The purpose of systemic pathology is to apply what students learned in general pathology for the precise understanding of specific disease. Basic concepts and principles of disease will continue to be emphasized. For each organ system we will learn to characterize and classify gross and microscopic lesions, discuss general pathogenesis and immunopathogenesis, and correlated lesions with etiology and clinical sign. We will continue to build upon student knowledge of normal structure and function, to provide a basis to understand disease diagnosis and clinical therapy. Overall, the student skills in recognition and description of lesions, correlations of functional changes with tissue structural alterations and an understanding the wide variety of disease processes in the organ system and animal.
