CARBONMONOXIDEWARNING
OperatethegeneratorONLYoutdoors.Neverrunthegeneratorindoorsastheenginegivesoffpoisonouscarbonmonoxide,anodorlessandcolorlessgas.Inhalingcarbonmonoxidewillcausenausea,faintingordeath.Also,keepthegeneratoratleast3feetawayfromflammablematterforadequateventilation
GROUNDINGTHEUNIT
Alwaysproperlygroundthegenerator.Failingtodosocanresultinelectrocution,particularlyifthegeneratorisequippedwithawheelkit.
ELECTRICSHOCKANDSHORTCIRCUIT
Besuretonotifytheutilitycompanywhenusingthegeneratorforbackuppower.Useapprovedtransfer
equipmenttoisolatethegeneratorfromelectricutility.Inhighlyconductiveareasuchasmetaldeckingorsteelwork,useagroundcircuitfaultinterrupter.Nevertouchthegeneratorifthegeneratoriswet.Also,nevertouchthegeneratorifyourhandiswet.Neveroperateyourgeneratoriftheweatherconditionscallforanytypeofprecipitationsuchasrain,snow,orfog.

FUELSAFETY
WhenusingtheLPGgenerator,pleasebesurethatthereissomedistancebetweenLGPtankandtheLPGgenerator,topreventunnecessarydangerbecauseofthehightemperaturesurfaceareaoftheLPGtank.Whenusingtheunit,pleasecheckthesurfacetemperatureoftheLPGtank.
Placethegeneratorinawellventilatedarea.DONOTplacethegeneratornearventsorintakeswhereexhaustfumescouldbedrawnintooccupiedorconfinedspaces.Carefullyconsiderwindandaircurrentswhenpositioninggenerator.PleasedonotlightacigaretteneartheLPGgenerator.
GENERATOR SAFETY
Donotstartgeneratorwithelectricaldevicesconnectedtoit.Startthegeneratorfirstandafterthespeedofthegeneratorstabilizes,electricalloadscanbeappliedtoit.
Whenconnectingelectricalloads,makesurethedevicesare"OFF"firstbeforeconnectingthem.

Keepthesameconceptwhendisconnectingelectricaldevices;makesurealldevicesareinthe"OFF"positionbeforedisconnecting.
Operatethegeneratoronlevelsurfacesonly.Inclinedsurfacesreducetheeffectivelubricationoftheengine.
Donotexposethegeneratortoexcessivemoisture,dust,dirt,orcorrosivevapors.

OperationinstructionofREDUCTORASSEMBLY
InstructiononLPGdenserdevice(bottom)TodevelopcoldstartperformanceofLPGgeneratorunit,theairREDUCTORASSYincludesoneLPGdenserdevice(bottom),thedetailedoperationofthebottomisshownbelow.
WhenstartingthecoldLPGgeneratorunit,openthevalveoftheLPGtank,closetheresistanceairvalvehandle,presstheLPGdenserdevice(bottom)lightly,andholdfor12seconds,thenstop.Starttheenginenormally,andafterfinishingthestartup,pleaseopenresistanceairvalvehandle.

Makecertainthegeneratorisonaflat,levelsurface.2.Disconnectallelectricalloadsfromthegenerator.Neverstartorstopthegeneratorwithelectricaldevicespluggedinorturnedon.

Afterstartingthegenerator,lettheenginewarmupafterconnectingelectricalloadstoit.Donothaveanyelectricalloadsconnectedbeforestartingthegenerator.
Makesureallelectricaldevicesare60Hzdevices.
Donotconnect50Hzdevicestothegenerator.Donotconnect3phaseloadstothegenerator.Donotoverloadthegenerator.
Beforebeginningyourwork,youmustverifythattherated(running)andsurge(starting)wattsfortheitemsyouwillpoweratthesametimearewithinthegeneratorsoperatingcapacity.PleaserefertothefollowingTable1forwattage/amperageratings.Also,toprolongthelifeofyourgenerator,prolongthelifeofyourgenerator,sequentiallyaddloadsandpermitthegeneratortostabilizebeforeaddinganotherload.Neverexceedthecapacityofthegenerator.
Estimatehowmanysurge(starting)wattsyouwillneed.Surgewattageistheshortburstofpowerneededtostartelectricmotordriventoolsorappliancessuchasacircularsaworrefrigerator.
