Pain / Problem

Every day millions of people die because of delay in giving first-aid

The average time of arrival the rescue team in Poland is approximately 12 minutes

62 % of emergency calls are time – crucial

The most important first-aid life saving procedures are very simple and have to be done in first 5 minutes , after that time occurs irreversible brain damage

Page 6: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

How do we solve the problem?

LifeBridge application will be a unique community solution commonly informing through modern mobile technology the need to help those who are in need.

LifeBridge will create civic awareness in the field of obligations of the premedical aid

Company - General Information

LifeBridge project merges two institutionally separate but dependent e-services:

LifeBridge – is a non-profit foundation - to shorten the response delay in emergencies and accidents through emergency dispatcher, by geo-localizing the nearby accident first-aid providers.

SaveMe – is an user-paid application, run by a separate legal for- profit entity aiming to short the time even further through sending a direct information to nearby responders and automatically alerts the dispatch office.

Page 8: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

LifeBridge operates in the following manner:

The dispatch office after receiving a 112 distress call and gaining basic situational awareness may decide to send out an emergency crew. After the crew has been dispatched the dispatch operator activates the dispatch office dedicated LifeBridge software module

The module selects active users based on the distance they are located from the distress call. Distances are calculated, so that the user can reach the emergency site, and provide first-aid before the professional crew arrives

The user may accept or reject the LifeBridge alert as he may not always be capable of providing the help due to circumstances he is in. The Alert notification is enhanced with a map, so that a user can make rational choice of whether he can provide help in time

After a user accepts the Alert, he starts to receive GPS navigation guidance and he may be connected with the dispatch officer through the phone who can provide the user with relevant first-aid tips and receive feedback about the status of the injured.

This information flow helps to provide first-aid in the most crucial first minutes after accident

SaveMe operates in the following manner:

In case of emergency the user activates the smartphone pre-installed SaveMe app which automatically dials 112 and sends out a distress signal (user-to-user) with geo-spatial data about an emergency situation to the community of LifeBridge users.

LifeBridge users receive the alerts if they are near enough and decide if they can take effective emergency response.

In the meantime, the dispatch officer connects with the user if possible. The dispatch officer may decide on aborting the alerts.

This information flow shaves minutes (time of explaining the situation to the dispatcher and starting the emergency crew)

Technology background

The key to the implementation of the enterprise is the possibility of locating a willing LifeBridge volunteer (through GPS module in smartphones or tablets) who are in the vicinity to the person in need of assistance. Outside the urban areas where professional responses last longer, the app will be able to determine (through basic GSM localization and/or active GPS) users from a wider geographical range, increasing the number of potential volunteers in accordance to current needs. When a user accepts an assistance request, his position will be precisely tracked for the emergency crews to receive additional geo-spatial data about the localization of the emergency. The user, after arriving at the event scene, will be able to “pinpoint” the exact location of the emergency site by pressing a dedicated GPS button in the application. This is very important, as very often the dispatch officers are unable to secure enough precise geographical data from the distress calls.

Competitive Advantage –LifeBridge vs. Nowforce

www.nowforce.com

LifeBridge system, unlike Nowforce, consists of 2 modules, LifeBridge - aglomeration authorities who want to implement

system and improve the quality of regional healthcare system

SaveMe - institutions who want to ensure that they can have faster response to incidents for health hazardous conditions.

Developed multimodal business model diversifies its sources of income, because it is based on both: the licenses granted from State entities (LifeBridge) and differentiated groups of user- paid app subscribers (SaveMe)

Page 17: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

Competitive Advantage – LifeBridge vs. Pulsepoint

www.pulsepoint.org

LifeBridge stands out from the competition by presence of functionality associated with direct notification (user-to-user – SaveMe app)

This module will generate revenues from users who want to ensure that they can achieve even faster help in life threatening situations

Page 18: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

Competitive Advantage- LifeBridge vs. Rapidrescue

www.redcross.org.sg/articles/rapid-rescue-app

LifeBridge – contrary to competition is integrated with dispatching information system.

Thanks to LifeBridge integration with emergency dispatch system, pre-installation of any application is not required. (even people without any applications will receive help)

Page 19: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

Competitive Advantage – LifeBridge vs. HELP!

www.help-app.nl

Help! Shares similarities only with LifeBridge (without SaveMe app).

The system presented by the aplicants is more integrated with information system of dispatch offices. This solution allows the dispatcher to track and coordinate with the volunteer before the arrival of specialized services. The volunteer can pinpoint the exact location of accident and help the specialized emergency team to be in the right place, allowing the exchange of information on the health status of the victim

Page 20: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

LifeBridge vs. any competition on market(business view)

None of the solutions have both dispatcher integrated and user-to-user alerts Thanks to this solution help is delivered faster than in any

competitive solutions on the market

The business model is based on two legally separate institutions with different revenue sources : LifeBridge - NGO (selling licences to aglomerations, grants,

donation, dotations, subsidies, additive personal income tax)

SaveMe – Company (selling subscriptions) Thanks to to this structure, the business

model of project is more flexible

Page 21: LifeBridge. The LifeBridge project is a Smart City E-Health innovation. The solution will considerably shorten the first-aid response delay in case.

LifeBridge vs. any competition on market(customer view)

Beforementioned solutions are available only in 4 countries.

In rest of the countries LifeBridge doesn’t have to compete, because there is no direct alternatives to our project

Founders will use Blue Ocean Strategy (First Mover Advantage) providing the one and only solution on market

Taking under consideration 4 markets where LifeBridge indicates competition:

Additional functionalities (LifeBridge volunteer will have contact with emergency crew, SaveMe- ICE sending sms to desired people, low cost monthly subscribtion )

Future additional related usage (SaveMe wristband with geolocalization module and SOS button for seniors / SaveMe car AirBag integrated module – when AirBag explodes or device will read high load factor LifeBridge volunteers will be automatically started

Business Model

Study of free service, out of charge for end-users, voluntary application LifeBridge identifies the following sources of income:

The license fees paid by the regional authorities such as voivodships or other autonomic governments in countries where Lifebridge will be implemented. The fee for license will depend on the number of aglomeration inhabitants

Premiums paid and voluntary donations to the foundation by third parties, as well as transfers of 1% of the additive PIT ( Personal Income Tax). Lifebridge app will have the legal personality of Foundation (Non Government Organisation) , and SaveMe will have commercial character (the united part between two institutions will be the database of volunteers)

Donations, dotations, subsidies, grants

The commercial application SaveMe will generate revenue originating from a single source:

Subscription fees for the use of the service.
