ITINERARY FOR TOUR OF JORDAN and ISRAEL MARCH/APRIL 2011

DAY 1, Thursday March 24th : Flew into Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport; crossed into Jordan. Overnight in Amman.

DAY 2, Friday March 25th : Travelled to Mt Nebo to see mosaic map; then onto Madaba (church mosaics). Down south to Wadi Rum ( jeep tour). Overnight in Petra.

DAY 3, Saturday March 26th : Spent day in Petra. Overnight in Eilat.

DAY 4, Sunday March 27th : Boat ride on Red Sea; visit Underwater Observatory and Eilat Stone Factory. Overnight in Eilat.

DAY 5, Monday March 28th : Drive through Negev Desert to the Dead Sea for float and fun in the mud; visited Masada. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 6, Tuesday March 29th : Jerusalem - Mount of Olives; Palm Sunday Way; Garden of Gesthsemane; Church of All Nations; Mount Zion; Jewish Quarter - cardo; Burnt House; Herodian Mansion; Davidson Centre.. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 7, Wednesday March 30th : Jerusalem - Temple Mount; Pools of Bethesda; Via Dolorosa; Church of the Holy Sepulchre; Southern Wall Excavations; the Western Wall. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 8, Thursday March : Jerusalem - City of David; Hadassah Hospital, Chagall Windows; Israel Museum, Shrine of the Book (Dead Sea Scrolls); Rabbi’s Tunnel. Overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 9, Friday April 1st : Jaffa - old city; artists’ quarter; arts and crafts fair; Rothschild Boulevard (Bauhaus style). Overnight on Sea of Galilee.

DAY 10, Saturday April 2nd : Sea of Galilee - boat ride; Capernaum - Jesus Boat; Mount of Beatitudes;Nazareth. Overnight on Sea of Galilee.

DAY 11, Sunday April 3rd : Acre - Crusader city; lunch at Uri Buri; Zippori. Overnight at Sea of Galilee.

DAY 12, Monday April 4th : Haifa - Bahai Shrine Gardens; Caesarea. Overnight in Tel Aviv

DAY 13, Wednesday April 5th : Flew home to Munich.
