A thirteen question survey was disseminated through local public health department staff, emergency response agencies, medical students, fire fighters and paramedics. Over 180 responses were compiled and utilized as a guidance to the development of the tools and resources incorporated into the mobile application and web vortal.Development meetings with West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department Multi-Agency Planning and Advisory Committee.Identified needs of the mobile app to ensure success and continuity including limiting size of app and the ability to save information to the memory card on the phone.
