The exhibition gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their learning in the PYP and to take

action as a result of their learning.

Students are required to:

• Select a real life issue or problem• Independently research the issue/problem as part of a group

• Explore multiple perspectives• Action (act on what you have learnt)

• Present their findings

Assessment

Students will be assessed on all of these components. Rubrics assess the skills, processes and attitudes.

The end product is assessed but the emphasis is on the process.

Timeline

12th Jan –23rd Jan (2 weeks) Identify a problem/issue

26th Jan – 27th Feb (5 weeks) Research in groups

2nd March –24th April (8 weeks) Exhibition Unit of InquiryConduct Action

6:30pm Thursday 24th April Exhibition Presentation

Please note that students will still have daily language and maths lessons throughout the exhibition. Subject lessons (PE, Arabic, music & art) will also continue as normal.

Parents also have a role to play in the exhibition.
