Type to enter text This year's regional conference theme is: "Serving is our Super Power"!

This super hero theme will be evident in the forum names, and in the costumes that each Lieutenant Governor will be dressed up in. Although not mandatory, dressing up is highly encouraged if you are attending to help get into the spirit of serving others.

Our Regional Conference will take place at the youth center right next to the First Baptist Church ( the youth center is on the corner of E Kirkpatrick Street and N Johnson Street, Mineola Texas 75773) on July 26th. We will begin at 10:00 a.m. with an 1.5 hour lunch breach at 12:00 p.m. Then, forums will resume at 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 when we will finish the conference. Following this, each division with split up and go with their lieutenant governors to have a DCM. When you RSVP I will send you pictures of the building.

Please have your advisor email [email protected] with the number of people from your club who will be attending. Be sure to also include what division and club you are from, what officers will be attending, and the position of each of those officers. With this information, we will be able to make sure that there will be enough chairs for everyone who attends the training conference. Thank you so much!

Project Ideas

Activity Boxes – Not all patients are able to visit the playroom to do crafts or special projects. So, help us bring the playroom to them! Decorate and fill a large bag with art supplies and instructions for a particular project. Remember we see patients from age 0- 18, so prepare projects with varying levels of difficulty

Toiletry Bags – Our patient families often come unprepared to spend the night. Assemble small bags of personal items including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, hairbrush and more. We’ll provide you with a complete list of needed items if this is an area of interest.

This year ELIMINATE has once again been selected to serve as the district project for the mighty T-O District. The goal of the ELIMINATE Project is to eliminate

maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT). Maternal and neonatal tetanus (called the silent killer and referred to as the “seventh-day death” in the Old Testament) kills one baby every 9 minutes. Not only does MNT kill babies, but also kills mothers. Its effects are

extremely painful. The newborn baby suffer painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. Maternal and neonatal tetanus have been among the most common lethal consequences of unclean deliveries and umbilical cord care practices.

When it develops, the chance of death is extremely high, even more so when appropriate medical care is not available.

Together, serving with other organizations and public leaders, we have already successfully eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus in many countries! But, still in 25 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, it still poses as a threat to

babies and mothers. Maternal and neonatal tetanus is caused when tetanus spores come into cuts during childbirth. Did I mention that these spores are found in soil

everywhere? Not only is MNT killing babies all around the world, it is also completely preventable! It has actually been available for decades and you have probably gotten

the shot your self! Just tree doses of a 60-cent immunization protect mothers, who also happen to pass down the immunity to their future children.

More than over 100 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. This all requires vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of skilled staff and more. It will take 110 million dollars and the teamwork of as many Key Clubbers

and other helping organizations. We are focusing on helping eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus because if is

completely unacceptable for mothers and their new born children to die while we idly stand by. It is also a great opportunity to help others that arenʼt in our community and give Key Clubbers the power to make a difference in the world, and save the lives of countless numbers of people! I mean, who doesnʼt think its cool to be able to say that

you helped eliminate such a terrible thing of this earth, so start working on planning the project YOU want to do to help contribute to this wonderful cause!

Contact me if you have anyquestions!

! Hello division 26! First thing I would like to do is thank all of those who came out to our first PCM / FTC and congratulate everybody on an exciting month of service! I had a blast getting to meet you guys and bond with you!

! One of my goals for this year is to strengthen the communication between LT. G and clubs. Not only that but also between all the clubs in the division. Some ways I have tried to improve our communication is by making a Facebook page and giving out all officer and club advisor information to everyone in our Division. Please try to utilize these things to better our communication.

! I can already tell that division 26 is going to have a great year and I am super excited to be serving as the lieutenant governor for this division. I feel that we will be able to accomplish great things this year. Lets show the world what division 26 is capable of!

The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an endowed fund for Key Club International held within the Kiwanis International Foundation.

This fund used earned interest to help Key Clubs and and Key Club members serve the world by providing grants for service opportunities. The fund also provides academic scholarships for higher education. The Youth Opportunities Fund is established through a portion of your Key Club International dues and through the purchase of G. Harold Martin Fellow Ships.

YOF grants can help you take action. Look around and identify the things that need to get done in your school, community or world. Clubs may request funding assistance ranging from 100 dollars to 2,000 dollars. The committee typically funds those clubs who are asking for a portion of the cost of the project, and clubs that are working with other organizations to fund and complete the project.

If you guys are thinking about going for a grant please let me know and iʼll give you more information about YOF.
