retooling a box of matches as a generator for a narrative to tell the story about how a portfolio case was designed

Concept: An analysis of a box of matches became a generator for a narrative about a man who went for a hike in the woods and dropped his sketchbook in a bonfire. When he went home he built a case to preserve his charred sketchbook. Ironically the case was
similar to a box of matches.

The circulation navigates through the building in a unique and memorable way; avoiding dead ends and monotony
that can be disorienting for an autistic child.

Flexible learning environments indoor and outdoors, group spaces or more private one-on-one instruction accommodate students needs.
Breakout spaces provide different learning environments and break up the interior circulation. An orientation point uses graphic symbols to help direct students to rooms.
