A Great Partnership!! – A New Program Announcement

• We feel that we have a great team in each restaurant !

• As a team, we cannot succeed without each other. We appreciate the effort that you put in every day!

• As a member of the team and part of the Tim Hortons family … If you help us control all costs (food/paper/labour) and ensure that each guest has a great experience at Tim Hortons it is only fair that YOU also financially participate in the success of YOUR restaurant! We should ALL benefit from running a great restaurant.

Team Member Profit Sharing Program (Effective: Jul 01, 2014)

• Everyone is included! As tenure and number of hours increase so does your Profit Sharing cheque. Students and Part Time Team Mmebers also share in the success

• Payout will occur each Quarter Starting Jul 01, 2014 based on your Gross Income

• Team members will be rewarded based on their years of service. Bonus starts at 1% (after year 1) and increases by 1% each successive year to a maximum of 5% after 5 years

• If market conditions change we may need to revise this program but we want acknowledge our business partnership with you!!

The Role You Play

• Amounts are based on increasing the restaurants overall Operational Profits and complete Guest Satisfaction (complaints must be in the green zone on AF Reporting)

• You can do your part by helping reduce waste, theft, improper portioning, etc. Operating margins will be communicated to Management on a regular basis.

• For Always Fresh Scores above 95% a further 10% multiplier will be added

• A target for Average Cheque will be set Quarterly and your management team will devise a plan to reach those goals accordingly

• To Qualify Team Member must be absent no more than twice in One Quarter

• Any written warnings will reduce your share by 50%

Drive Sales with in our restaurants

• Use the S.E.T principles: Focus on Hospitality • Put more Guests through: Speed of Service• Accurate orders• Merchandising • Cleanliness of restaurant• Presentation of team members• Availability and quality of product• Suggestive sell, by communicating your fresh product.• Taking care of your regular guests to encourage their return!

Decrease Unnecessary Food Waste

Food – What is included in Food Costs?

ANSWER: Any food/beverage item we sell to our guests forconsumption.EXAMPLES:Bagel $0.22Donut $0.18Turkey Slice $0.79Danish $0.40The more waste the restaurant has the higher its food costsand the less the Profit Sharing check. WHERE CAN YOU SAVE?

Decreasing Unnecessary Operating Costs

Operating Expenses – These are incidental expenses that are incurred by therestaurant during operations

EXAMPLES:1. Heating/Cooling Costs2. Water Costs3. Maintenance Costs4. Cash Shortages5. Uniforms6. Small wares usage As each of the items increases, the $ amount of your Profit Sharing chequedecreases.

Come to Work

• The more hours you work during the profit sharing incentive program, the greater your profit sharing cheque will be.

• The longer you have been with us, the larger the share of profits you will receive.

Profit Sharing Example (not including any multipliers)

For example, if you make $22,000/year:

Year 1 Bonus (1%): $220.00 ($22,000/year)

Year 2 Bonus (2%): $453.20 ($22,660/year)

Year 3 Bonus (3%): $700.19 ($23,340/year)

Year 4 Bonus (4%): $961.60 ($24,040/year)

Year 5 Bonus (5%): $1,238.06 ($24,761/year)

Year 6 Bonus (5%): $1,275.20 ($25,504/year)

Conclusion
