iNVent 2Intelligent Natural Ventilation Control
The Monodraught iNVent 2 system is a Natural Ventilation management system for up to 4 zones, each consisting of up to 3 Natural Ventilation systems. It utilises seasonally adjusted proportional control based on internal temperature and CO2. With configurable sensor, strategy, and actuator mapping via USB, as well as built in data logging, the iNVent 2 system can control Natural Ventilation systems to suit any building application.
Features
• Supports all Monodraught Natural Ventilation products• Real-Time Clock• LCD screen• 60W PSU• Automatically resets if power is interrupted using watchdog timer• Seasonal control strategy, influenced by internal and external temperatures, as well as CO2 levels• Individually fused (resettable) 24V zone supplies• Built-In data logging
• Master volt-free I/O can be distributed between multiple panels • BACnet visible with optional BACnet module• RS485 communication bus• USB access for configuration and monitoring• Configurable sensor, strategy and actuator mapping• External cooling and heating zone control• Fully backwards compatible with iNVent

PC Interface
The iNVent 2 Control Panel has an internal USB port which allows a commissioning engineer to connect a Laptop to the panel for custom configuration, maintenance and data collection purposes.
Allows the limiting of ventilation for air movement sensitive
activities
Rain Sensor Closes windows and protects against rain
ingress in natural ventilation products
Heating Interlock (optional)
Prevents the system from cooling spaces when
heating is onFire Alarm (optional)
Closes sources of ventilation in response to a fire alarm input to
restrict the spread of fire
Fault Signal (optional)A volt-free contact which when open indicates a fault has occurred
Smoke Vent (optional) Opens specially configured smoke ventilation airways to help keep escape routes clear of smoke and to aid evacuation in event of a fire
External Temperature Used to adjust the seasonal strategy and protect ventilation systems against snow/frost
Fire Key Switch (optional) Allows fire officers to override the system to open or close ventilation systems if necessary
4 Heating Solid-State Relay Outputs
• Allows iNVent 2 to control auxiliary heating in each zone
4 Cooling Solid-State Relay Outputs• Allows iNVent 2 to control auxiliary cooling in
each zone
Heating & CoolingC
4 General Purpose 0 - 10V Inputs• Used for additional sensor or control inputs
4 BMS 0 - 10V Inputs• Allows a BMS system to share sensor data
with an iNVent 2 panel. This allows hybrid ventilation systems to share the same sensor readings, allowing highly accurate interlinking of cooling and heating systems
4 BMS 0 - 10V Outputs• Used to send analogue signals to a BMS
system in order to share sensor data or control information. This allows the BMS to operate on the same information as iNVent 2

External TemperatureThe external temperature sensor is used to season switch the system as shown below in the table.
The external temperature is used in real time for closing the systems, if the external temperature is below 5°C for the Frost Mode. If the external temperature is less than 8°C and the rain sensor activates, the system enters snow mode and closes the louvres. In addition, if required, dampers can be set to close when the internal temperature is at least 25°C and the external temperature is at least 5°C above the internal temperature in order to prevent a space from heating up due to higher outside air temperatures (i.e. 30°C outside, 25°C inside)

Room Temperature Sensor
Note: When the local zone controller measures a temperature below 11°C it will report override closed to the iNVent 2 panel. Therefore temperature has priority 5 under these extreme conditions.
Rain Detection
The system will ignore temperature and CO2 control and fully close the louvres immediately on rain. Higher priorities should be actioned (override and fire, etc.)
