Before You Begin

The valve is sold separately. Please read the instructions packedwith the valve for installation procedures.

Deep rough-in kit #73444 allows an additional 1/2 (1.3 cm) oftile thickness.

Order rough-in kit #773132 for finished deck installations over1-1/4 (3.2 cm) thick [max. 1-3/4 (4.4 cm)].Please read all instructions before you begin.

Shut off the main water supply.

Observe all local plumbing and building codes.

Complete the finished deck material before installing.

Before installation, unpack the new faucet trim and inspect it fordamage. Return it to the carton until installation.

Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design offaucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Remove the Pipe PlugWARNING: Risk of personal injury. Lines may be pressurized.Do not lean over the pipe plug when turning or removing theplug.

Make sure the valves are closed (cold = fully counterclockwise;hot = fully clockwise).

Turn off the main water supply.

Wrap a rag around the pipe plug to prevent water spray.

IMPORTANT! Water may purge from the supply tube when youremove the plug.

Carefully remove the pipe plug.

2. Install the SpoutCAUTION: Risk of product damage. Use care when installingthe spout assembly to prevent damage to the O-ring seal.

NOTE: If your installation is on a tile-covered rough deck, slide abrass washer, flat side facing forward, onto the supply tube. Thebrass washer is supplied with the spout. This washer is not neededfor rim/finished deck installations.

Remove the plaster guard from the spout supply tube.

Cut off the spout supply tube 1-1/2 (3.8 cm) above theescutcheon.

Remove all burrs from the supply tube.

Loosen the setscrews in the sleeve.

Using a twisting motion, install the sleeve on the spout supplytube until it contacts the deck or washer.

Align the sleeve with the setscrews offset from the center (notfacing directly forward or backward) of the supply tube.

Tighten the setscrews.

Position the spout on the sleeve, and carefully press down untilthe spout contacts the finished deck.

Align the spout as desired, and tighten the setscrew.

Insert the plug button (if included) over the setscrew, flush withthe spout surface.

3. Install HandlesNOTE: There are different handle styles available for this product.Only one style of handle is shown. Installation of all handle styles isidentical.

Remove the plaster guards.

Measure the distance from the top of the valve stem to thefinished surface.

For a valve stem height between 1-13/16 (4.6 cm) and 2-1/8 (5.4cm) use a brass spline adapter and screw. For a valve stem heightbetween 2-1/8 (5.4 cm) and 2-5/16 (5.9 cm) use a plastic splineadapter.

If the brass spline adapter is required, attach using the screwsupplied. The plastic spline adapter slides on with no attachment.

Position the handle assemblies facing in opposite directions awayfrom the spout.

Thread the handle onto the valve body. Make sure the splines inthe handle and stem extension are engaged.

NOTE: The spline adapter allows fine adjustment of the handlealignment. To adjust, remove the handle and reposition the splineadapter.

Align the handle.

Reinstall the handle and check alignment.

Apply plumbers putty.

4. Complete the Installation

Turn off the water (hot = clockwise, cold = counterclockwise).

Remove the aerator assembly.

Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.

Turn on the hot and cold valves and run water through the spoutto remove debris. Check for leaks.

Turn off the hot and cold valves.

Remove any debris from the aerator.

Reinstall the aerator assembly.

Complter le matriau du comptoir fini avant dinstaller.

Avant linstallation, dballer la garniture du nouveau robinet etlexaminer pour en dceler tout dommage. Remettre le robinetdans lemballage jusqu linstallation.

Kohler Co. se rserve le droit dapporter toutes modifications audesign des robinets et ceci sans pravis, comme spcifi dans lecatalogue des prix.

1. Retirer le bouchon du tubeAVERTISSEMENT : Risque de blessure corporelle. Lescanalisations peuvent tre pressurises. Ne pas se pencher sur lebouchon du tube au moment de le tourner et de le retirer.

Sassurer que les robinets soient ferms (ct froid compltementvers la gauche, ct chaud compltement vers la droite).

Fermer lalimentation deau principale.

Enrouler une serviette autour du bouchon du tube pourempcher leau de gicler.

IMPORTANT ! Leau pourrait scouler du tube dalimentationdeau lorsque le bouchon est retir.

Retirer le bouchon de tuyau avec prcaution.

2. Installer le becATTENTION : Risque dendommagement du produit. Travailleravec soin lors de linstallation de lensemble du bec afin dviterdendommager le joint torique.

REMARQUE : Dans les cas dinstallations sur comptoir brut carrel,glisser une rondelle en laiton, le ct plat dirig vers lavant, sur letube dalimentation. La rondelle en laiton est fournie avec le bec.Cette rondelle nest pas ncessaire pour des installations surrebord/comptoir fini.

Retirer le renfort de pltre du tube dalimentation du bec.

Dcouper le tuyau dalimentation du bec 1-1/2 (3,8 cm) audessus de lapplique.

Retirer toutes barbures du tube dalimentation.

Dvisser les vis de retenue sur le manchon.

Par un mouvement de torsion, installer le manchon sur le tuyaudalimentation du bec jusquau contact avec le comptoir ou larondelle.

Aligner le manchon avec les vis de retenues contre balances ducentre (ne faisant pas directement face vers lavant ou larrire)du tube dalimentation.

Serrer les vis de retenue.

Positionner le bec sur le manchon, et presser dlicatement vers lebas jusqu ce que le bec touche le comptoir fini.

Aligner le bec selon le dsir et serrer la vis de retenue.

Insrer le bouchon (si inclus) sur la vis de retenue, galit avecla surface du bec.

3. Installer les poignesREMARQUE : Il y a des styles de poigne diffrents disponiblespour ce produit. Un seul style de poigne est montr uniquement.Linstallation de tous les styles de poigne est identique.

Retirer les renforts en pltre.

Mesurer la distance depuis le dessus de la tige de la valve lasurface finie.

Utiliser ladaptateur cannelures en laiton et la vis pour unehauteur de tige de valve comprise entre 1-13/16 (4,6 cm) et2-1/8 (5,4 cm).
