PICATINNY SPECQUAD RAIL

ENHANCEDBARREL NUT

SLING SWIVEL INSERT

To install or remove correctly, user must be familiar with common Armorers tools used in assembly/disassembly of M-16/AR-15 weapon system and have the skills necessary to use them. Use of “Service removable Blue LocTite” on all fasteners is recommended.

UNLOAD WEAPON It is users responsibility to make sure weapon is unloaded and in safe condition!!! BPM INC will not be responsible for any loss, injury or death resulting

from the use or misuse of this product.

The patent pending design of the considerably longer length barrel nut over what has been conventionally available ,coupled with hand guard to barrel nut retention via QD sling swivel insert is remarkably one of the toughest/most rigid in existence. Length of barrel nut offers unequalled rigidity under leverage induced sling wrap up –strain-especially for longer /full length rail type hand guard designs, for effective/repeatable mounting of a variety of different optics/lasers/light accessories.

Barnes Precision Picatinny Spec Free Float Rail

1. Use vise /upper receiver Armorers block –barrel nut wrench to remove GI style barrel nut/delta ring assembly.

2. Install Barnes Precision Machine Inc. Barrel Nut with radial groove.

Page 5: INNOVATIVE REFINEMENTS TO THE TACTICAL … refinements to the tactical carbine ... dis con nec tor trigger pring ... innovative refinements to the tactical carbine

6. Install QD sling swivel disconnect inserts into threaded holes on each side of barrel nut area on hand guard. Torque QD sling swivel inserts on each side to 35 inch pounds.

7. Torque clamp screws to 25 inch pounds.

CAUTION: Do not distort/over tighten screws! Slot in clamp area on underside of hand guard should not “close up”.

8. Re-Check alignment of Picatinny spec rail on hand guard with Picatinny spec rail on upper receiver.

9. Congratulations, you have successfully completed installation of hand guard!

5. While upper is still in Armorers block, Install jack screw (10-32 cap head screw) in bottom of hand guard to open up clamp area to make it easier to slide hand guard onto barrel nut. With 2 rear sling swivel inserts removed from BPM Inc. Free Float Rail, slide rail system on to barrel nut ,maintaining alignment of lug/ recess area on bottom and on top of rail –this lug/ recess area on upper receiver end of hand guard, should fit around upper receiver. Picatinny spec rail on upper receiver and hand guard should align with each other as they come together .This lug/recess area is what keeps hand guard from rotating or loosening barrel nut once in place and tightened up against upper receiver. Once in place remove 10-32 jack screw. Install 10-32 allen head cross bolts and allen nuts thru holes over clamp/slot area on bottom of hand guard– tighten both screws finger tight.

3. Torque barrel nut with BPM Inc. barrel nut wrench to 85ft. lbs.

4. Reinstall gas tube assembly/gas block.
