Digital video delivery standards Video format requirementsBelow are the standards for delivery of digital video to Tetra Pak. Any digital video must be delivered ac-

cording to the below stated requirements. These standards are important for three reasons; firstly we have

an automated workflow for publishing digital video, secondly we want to establish a workflow that is 100%

digital and thirdly we want to move as much of our content as possible to HD. This standard is valid as of April 1, 2008.

RequirementsHigh Definition – 16:9, Progressive• Size: 1280x720• Video codec: H.264 @ 15 to 20 Mbps • Audio codec: AAC @ 256 kbps – stereo AAC @ 384 kbps – surround• Container: MPEG-4 (.mp4)

Standard Definition – 4:3 and anamorphic 16:9, Progressive• Size: 720x576 (for newly produced material 960x720 is preferred)• Video codec: H.264 @ 10 to 15 Mbps• Audio codec: AAC @ 256 kbps – stereo AAC @ 384 kbps – surround• Container: MPEG-4 (.mp4)

Multi-lingual content Multi-lingual content should be delivered as a multi-track video in the same container. Each audio track

should be according to the above stated requirements. The primary language should always be set as

audio track one (1). If possible a musical effects track should be delivered separate from the speaker tracks

to enable additional future localizations. If a multi-lingual video is delivered in surround then each lan-

guage should be delivered in a separate container.Delivery • FTP or HTTP for immediate delivery• Physical delivery on CD or DVD-ROM• If delivered on DVD Video a digital copy according to the above must be included on the DVD
