Benchmarking systems are in place throughout various industries and, having exclusively worked in the hospitality industry, our team realised that this important tool was missing from the restaurant sector; we could not access critical market intelligence in order to analyse and direct the business and ultimately increase revenues. Our goal was simple – to empower and support restaurants, hotels and public houses with essential knowledge by developing a performance benchmarking package: If you know your current position, your true potential and how to get there by making an informed response you must measure the impact. With the support of likeminded professionals across the sector, we developed the structure and systems behind Hyperiam throughout 2008 and, having successfully tested it in a local market environment, the package has now been launched to the corporate market.
