Piroctone Olamine is usually used in shampoo forrmulation again dandruff . In 1984 Pierre Louis Valette, pharmacian working in Biorga laboratory discover the improvement of forehead acne by the contact with piroctone-olamine.

Piroctone-olamine, through a strong anti-bacterial power, is used in the management of skin with acneic tendancy. So the trademark Hyfac is born. The meaning of hyfac is « Facial Hygien » (in french : Hygiène Faciale).
