Handmade Hope is a constantly evolving sphere of flowing creativity and opportunities

for self sustenance and grows.

Page 3: Handmadehope

what do we do?

We at Handmade Hope do not manufacture things. We create self-initiated products. Every artisan associated with the product puts in a part of himself in creating it.

Page 4: Handmadehope

how do we do?

The process of creating self-initiated products progresses in form of a simple cascade. An artist creates a product in form of his service. He trains individuals to make the product. These

trained individuals in turn, train other individuals from their communities or people belonging to weaker sections of society. Thus, a project is generated.

The project involves a specific number of industrious, self employed individuals. These artisans aren’t employed by us as they generate projects on their own without any intervention. These artisans are enthusiastic and self motivated due to their new found economic independence.

They are connected with their product as their infant as they built it from scratch to finish. They can alter and modify the product as they wish to create and offer them

at a price, suitable to them.

what do we do?

We are the tool, instrumental in people’s efforts to achieve self sustenance. The achievements are a result of their hard work and passion.

We do not derive any sort of monetary gain out of their success, neither do we wish to.

connecting link

In the process of community building, we come across as many individuals and organizations who are highly skilled craftsmen at creating artistic souvenirs.

We give them a platform by acting as a connecting link between them and the market. Increasing their sales and helping them achieve self sustainability.

ecothene bags

our endeavor to do our bit in nature conservation. These bags are purely created out ofnewspapers, using them innovatively andputting them to good use. They’re created by people who are economically weak, thus providing them a source of income and making them artisans. Eco-thene is a unique blend of nature conservation and the trendyappeal. It has successfully replaced polythene bags at numerableboutiques, pharmacy shops and households. We aspire to create a polythene free society and quite frankly we’re getting there, inch by inch.

envelopes

One fine day, a notable journalist at TOI (Times Of India) suggested, if we could create something out ofHuge amount of printed material that they received at their office. And thus, the concept of envelopes wasborn. These envelopes are created out of non-printed side of the printed material, and act as the traditionalenvelope. The only difference between our envelopes and the traditional ones, we’re saving nature byoptimal usage of paper. These envelopes have replaced traditional ones, at many households.

notebooks

the idea of these notebooks was born out of three realizations that happened to us

Page 11: Handmadehope

Today, every youth is different and is very confident about embracing that fact. He wishes to make a statement and celebrate the fact, he’s not a just another face in the crowd.

Page 12: Handmadehope

Today, every youth is aware of his surroundings and is opinionated. He is proud to take stands for or against the issues that concern humanity, be it global warming or world peace.

Page 13: Handmadehope

On a lighter note, the youth believes in multitasking. His iPod, his internet, his camera are all rolled into one cell phone. He carries the same single notebook everywhere to every lecture. The front pages become his college book, the middle ones, and his MBA tutorials. The back pages are where the creator in him comes to life. Be it poetry, graffiti, sketches of weeping eyes or just the regular game of “cross-and-zero.”

Today, environmental awareness is at its peak. People are resorting to recycling, renovation andreducing the usage of plastic in any form. We collaborated with Naisargi, an NGO, working for nature conservation. They took support ofslum dwelling women and crafted these handmade clothe bags. These bags with their ornate appeal help us creating employment and help you to save the planet.

greeting cards

Our greeting cards are more about expressions and conveying the inner joy, gratitude and appreciation. Wehaven’t designed them like the factory made sugar coated greeting cards. Rather, we let innocent childrenPour all their innocence and creativity in the design. Like the blooming of a flower our cards spread happiness all around. Try gifting one to a beloved and observethe priceless glimmer of their smile. That glimmer, is what our cards are all about.

People live in the fast lane. Yet, they love to read a book, though at irregular intervals, like they catch up with an old friend. Our unconventionally designed bookmarks help them to remember and take off from where they’d left last.

We present to you, “Value Frames.” These bear wonderful quotes about life, morals and aboutethics. We have not put a price tag to it because we could not. These frames have invaluablelessons in them; we could not put a number to it. We give you the liberty to chose and pay thevalue, equivalent to the value of moral values in your life.
